Ruling on Blinding the Eye of a One-Eyed Person

٢٨٧٤٩ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو اسامة عن سعيد عن قتادة عن خلاس عن علي في الرجل الاعور إذا اصيبت (عينه) (١) الصحيحة، قال: إن شاء (ان) (٢) تفقا عين مكان عين، وياخذ النصف، وإن شاء اخذ الدية كاملة (٣).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [ط]: (عينيه).
(٢) سقط من: [ب، ط، هـ].
(٣) صحيح.
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding a one-eyed man, when his sound eye is injured, said that if he wishes, he may take out the other person's eye in retaliation and take half the blood money, and if he wishes, he may take the full blood money only.
