٣٠٦٨٢ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو خالد الاحمر عن المجالد عن الشعبي عن جابر قال: جاء ماعز بن مالك إلى النبي ﷺ (١) فقال: إنه قد زنى فقال:"اما لهذا احد" فرده، ثم جاء ثلاث (مرار) (٢) فقال:" (اما) (٣) لهذا احد" فرده، فلما كانت الرابعة قال:"ارجموه" (٤)، فرماه ورميناه، وفر واتبعناه، قال عامر: فقال لي جابر: (فهاهنا) (٥) قتلناه (٦).

Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Ma'iz bin Malik came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Indeed, I have committed adultery. The Prophet asked: Is there any witness to this? So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him back. Then he came three times, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is there any witness to this? Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him back. When he came the fourth time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You people should stone him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and we stoned him, and he began to run, so we chased after him. Hazrat Amir said: Hazrat Jabir told me: We stoned him here.
