Hisham bin Hassan narrates that the first bequest of Muhammad bin Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, was: This is the bequest that Muhammad bin Abi Umrah made. I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم is Allah’s servant and His Messenger, and I advise my sons and my household to fear Allah and to live together in a good manner, and if they are believers, to obey Allah and His Messenger. And I advise them with what Ibrahim (peace be upon him) advised his sons and Yaqub (peace be upon him) advised his sons:“O my sons! Indeed, Allah has chosen the religion for you, so do not die except as Muslims.”And he says that this was also the first bequest of Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
