Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the wife of Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted:“O Messenger of Allah! Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) has passed away. He has left behind two daughters and a brother. His brother has taken all the wealth left by Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) into his possession. Women are to be married according to their financial status.”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not give any answer to this woman during that gathering. Then she came to your service again and submitted:“O Messenger of Allah! It is about the two daughters of Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him).”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Call his brother to me.”That person came, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Give his daughters two-thirds share, and give his wife one-eighth share, and whatever remains, that will be for you.”
