Section on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Superiority of Shaving Over Trimming
Hadith Number: 4534
(وعنه من طريق ثالث) عن جدته قالت: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم وهو يقول: ((يرحم الله المحلقين يرحم الله المحلقين)) قالوا في الثالثة: والمقصرين؟ قال: ((والمقصرين))
His grandmother says: I heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: May Allah have mercy on those who shave their heads, may Allah have mercy on those who shave their heads. The people said for the third time: And those who shorten their hair? He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: And may He have mercy on those who shorten their hair as well.
