Section on What Has Been Reported Regarding Command and Prohibition Concerning Fara' and 'Atirah
Hadith Number: 4722
عن مخنف بن سليم رضي الله عنه بنحوه فقال يا ايها الناس إن على اهل كل بيت في كل عام اضحية وعتيرة اتدرون ما العتيرة هي التي يسميها الناس الرجبية
A similar hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Mukhnaf bin Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him), except that in it is: O people! Indeed, every year, sacrifice (Qurbani) and ‘Atirah are obligatory upon every household. Do you know what ‘Atirah is? It is the same which people call Rajabiyyah.
