Hadith Number: 5359
عن ميمونة بنت كردم عن ابيها كردم بن سفيان رضي الله عنه انه سال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم عن نذر نذر في الجاهلية فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم الوثن او لنصب قال لا ولكن لله تبارك وتعالى قال فاوف لله تبارك وتعالى ما جعلت له انحر على بوانة واوف بنذرك
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Kardam bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a vow made during the days of ignorance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Was it for any idol or stone? He replied: No, rather it was for Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then fulfill it for Allah Almighty; whatever you have specified, sacrifice it at Buwana and thus fulfill your vow.
