باب ما جاء فى استحباب النظر إلى المخطوبة
Chapter: What Has Been Reported Regarding the Recommendation to Look at the Woman to Be Proposed To
Hadith Number: 6875
عن ابي حميد الساعدي قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ((إذا خطب احدكم امراة فلا جناح عليه ان ينظر إليها إذا كان إنما ينظر إليها لخطبته وإن كانت لا تعلم))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: When any one of you sends a proposal of marriage to a woman, there is no harm in looking at her, provided that he is looking only for the purpose of engagement, even if the woman is not aware of it.
