It is narrated from Fudayl bin Zaid Raqashi, he says: We were with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him), we mentioned wine, he said: Wine is forbidden. I said: The prohibition of wine is also mentioned in the Book of Allah Almighty. He said: Then what do you want to ask? Do you want to hear what I heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? Then listen: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of vessels made from gourds, pitchers, and vessels coated with tar. I asked: What is Hantam? He said: Every green and white pitcher. I asked: What is Muzaffat? He said: Every waterskin upon which tar has been applied.
