Issues of Poverty and Wealth
باب ما جاء فى فضل الفقراء المساكين والترغيب فى حبهم ومجالستهم
Chapter on what has been narrated regarding the virtue of the poor and needy, and encouragement to love and sit with them
Hadith Number: 9323
عن عبد الله بن عمرو رضي الله عنهما قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ((اطلعت في الجنة فرايت اكثر اهلها الفقراء واطلعت في النار فرايت اكثر اهلها الاغنياء والنساء))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I looked into Paradise, and I saw that most of its inhabitants were the poor; then when I looked into Hell, I found that most of its inhabitants were the wealthy and women.
