Hadith Number: 5406
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر القواريري ، قال: حدثنا عبد الوارث ، قال: حدثنا ابو التياح ، قال: حدثني حفص الليثي ، قال: اشهد على عمران بن حصين ، يحدثنا: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " نهى عن لبس الحرير، وعن التختم بالذهب، وعن الشرب في الحناتم" ، قال ابو حاتم: الشرب في الحناتم: اراد به الانتباذ فيها.
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade wearing silk, (wearing) a gold ring, and drinking from Hantham.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) What is meant by drinking from Hantham is preparing nabidh (fermented drink) in it.
