It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best era of this Ummah is the one in which I have been sent, then the era of those who come after them, then there will come a people who will make vows but will not fulfill them, they will be treacherous and will not be trustworthy, they will be ready to give testimony though it will not be asked from them, and obesity will become common among them.

Mutarrif bin Shukhair says that I was with Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) in Kufa, when Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in prayer. He would say Allahu Akbar every time he went into and rose from prostration. When the prayer was finished, Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said: He has led us in prayer just like the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray.

Mutarrif bin Abdullah says that Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) sent for me during his illness of death. I went to him and he said: I have narrated many ahadith to you, from which it is possible that after me Allah will benefit you, and also include this in your knowledge that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to greet me with salam as long as I was alive. Keep this hidden, and when I die, if you wish, then you may narrate it.

And remember! The Prophet (peace be upon him) combined Hajj and Umrah in one journey, then he did not forbid it until his passing: nor was any command regarding its prohibition revealed in the Qur'an. Now, whoever says anything about it, says so from his own opinion.

It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man bit another man's hand, and when he pulled his hand away, the biter's front teeth broke and fell out. Both of them brought this dispute to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it invalid and said: "One of you bites his brother like a bull." Hiyaj bin Imran once came to Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "My father has vowed that if his slave comes under his control, he will cut off one of his limbs." He replied: "Go to your father and tell him to give the expiation for his oath and not to cut off any of his limbs, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to encourage charity in his addresses and forbade mutilation." Then he went to Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also said the same.
