أَوَّلُ مُسْنَدِ الْبَصْرِيِّينَ
First Part of Musnad of the Basrans
وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
And from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 20148
حدثنا زكريا بن ابي زكريا , حدثنا هشيم ، عن موسى بن السائب ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " المرء احق بعين ماله حيث عرفه، ويتبع البيع بيعه" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sees his own goods with someone, he has a greater right to them, and the buyer will take his price from the seller.

Hadith Number: 20149
حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم ، حدثني عبد الله بن سوادة ، عن ابيه ، عن سمرة , قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا يغرنكم اذان بلال، ولا هذا البياض لعمود الصبح حتى يستطير" .
Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) once said during a sermon that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not let Bilal's call to prayer or this whiteness deceive you until the true dawn appears."

Hadith Number: 20150
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن شعبة ، حدثنا معبد بن خالد ، عن زيد بن عقبة ، عن سمرة بن جندب :" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: كان يقرا في الجمعة: ب سبح اسم ربك الاعلى و هل اتاك حديث الغاشية" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" and "Has there come to you the narration" in the Friday prayer.

Hadith Number: 20151
حدثنا روح ، حدثنا سعيد , وعبد الوهاب , اخبرنا سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة بن جندب : ان نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يقول: " إن الدجال خارج وهو اعور عين الشمال، عليها ظفرة غليظة، وإنه يبرئ الاكمه والابرص، ويحيي الموتى، ويقول للناس انا ربكم، فمن قال: انت ربي، فقد فتن، ومن قال: ربي الله، حتى يموت، فقد عصم من فتنته، ولا فتنة بعده عليه ولا عذاب، فيلبث في الارض ما شاء الله ثم يجيء عيسى ابن مريم عليهما السلام من قبل المغرب مصدقا بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وعلى ملته، فيقتل الدجال، ثم إنما هو قيام الساعة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal is about to emerge, and he will be blind in his left eye, and there will be a thick nail over it. He will cure those who are born blind and those suffering from leprosy, and he will bring the dead back to life. He will say to the people, "I am your Lord." Whoever accepts this and says, "He is my Lord," will fall into tribulation, and whoever says, "My Lord is Allah," and remains steadfast upon this until the end, will be safe from his tribulation, and he will not be subjected to any trial nor any punishment. The Dajjal will remain on the earth as long as Allah wills, then Hazrat Isa (Jesus) will descend from the west, and he will come and affirm the truth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and will be upon his religion, and he will kill the Dajjal. Then the Day of Judgment will draw near.

Hadith Number: 20152
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا همام ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " العمرى جائزة لاهلها" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Umra is permissible in favor of the person for whom it is made.

Hadith Number: 20153
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا همام ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة : ان يوم حنين كان يوما مطيرا، فامر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مناديه فنادى: " ان الصلاة في الرحال" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of rain during the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed the people to pray in their tents.

Hadith Number: 20154
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن سفيان ، حدثني حبيب بن ابي ثابت ، عن ميمون بن ابي شبيب ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " البسوا الثياب البيض، فإنها اطهر واطيب، وكفنوا فيها موتاكم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Make white clothes obligatory upon yourselves; wear white clothes yourselves and shroud your dead in them, for they are the best of your clothes.

حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، رواية ميمون بن أبى شبيب عن الصحابة منقطعة
Hadith Number: 20155
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " الصلاة الوسطى صلاة العصر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Salat al-Wusta, the Asr prayer is meant.

حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، الحسن البصري لم يذكر سماعه من سمرة
Hadith Number: 20156
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، حدثنا ابن ابي عروبة ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " على اليد ما اخذت حتى تؤديه" , ثم نسي الحسن قال: لا يضمن.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whatever one hand takes from another remains a responsibility upon it until it is returned (to the giver).

Hadith Number: 20157
حدثنا يحيى ، عن إسماعيل يعني ابن ابي خالد ، عن عامر ، عن سمرة بن جندب , ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الفجر ذات يوم فقال:" هاهنا من بني فلان احد؟" مرتين، فقال رجل: هو ذا , فكاني اسمع صوت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إن صاحبكم قد حبس على باب الجنة بدين كان عليه" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Fajr prayer, and after the prayer he said, "Is there anyone here from such-and-such tribe?" A man said, "Yes! (We are present)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Your companion (who has passed away) has been held back at the gate of Paradise because of a debt he owed, so you should pay off his debt."
