حَدِيثُ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20912
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثني ابو عمرو العنبري عبيد الله بن معاذ بن معاذ ، حدثنا ابي ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن سماك ، قال: سالت جابر بن سمرة ، عن صفة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:" كان اشكل العين، ضليع الفم، منهوس العقب" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that there were red streaks in the whiteness of the eyes of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his blessed mouth was wide, and there was little flesh on his blessed shank.

Hadith Number: 20913
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثني خلف بن هشام البزار المقرئ، حدثنا ابو الاحوص ، عن سماك ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" إذا صلى الفجر، قعد في مصلاه حتى تطلع الشمس" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that after offering the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to remain seated in his place until the sun had risen.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 670
Hadith Number: 20914
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثنا خلف بن هشام ، حدثنا شريك ، عن سماك ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " رجم يهوديا ويهودية" ، يعني هذا الحديث، وحديث خلف عن شريك ليس فيه سماك، وإنما سمعه والله اعلم خلف من المباركي، عن شريك، انه لم يكن في كتابه عن سماك.
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) carried out the punishment of stoning on a Jewish man and woman.

حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لسوء حفظ شريك
Hadith Number: 20915
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثنا خلف ايضا، حدثنا سليمان بن محمد المباركي ، حدثنا شريك ، عن سماك ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " رجم يهوديا ويهودية" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) carried out the punishment of stoning on a Jewish man and woman.

حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لسوء حفظ شريك
Hadith Number: 20916
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثنا خلف بن هشام ، حدثنا ابو الاحوص ، عن سماك ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" إن الله عز وجل سمى المدينة طابة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying that Allah has named Madinah Munawwarah as "Taba".

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 1385
Hadith Number: 20917
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثني شجاع بن مخلد ابو الفضل ، حدثنا عباد بن العوام ، عن الحجاج ، عن سماك وهو ابن حرب ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال:" كان في ساقي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حموشة، وكان لا يضحك إلا تبسما"، وكنت إذا رايته، قلت:" اكحل العينين، وليس باكحل" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that there was slenderness in the blessed shins of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and when he laughed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would only smile. And whenever I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, I would say that his eyes are kohl-lined, even if he had not applied kohl.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، الحجاج بن أرطاة مدلس، وقد عنعنه
Hadith Number: 20918
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثني خلف بن هشام ، حدثنا ابو عوانة ، عن سماك ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال: مات بغل عند رجل، فاتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يستفتيه، قال: فزعم جابر بن سمرة ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لصاحبها: " ما لك ما يغنيك عنها؟ قال: لا، قال:" فاذهب فكلها" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a family living in Harrah whose members were poor and needy. Nearby, their she-camel or someone else's she-camel died. A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to ask about its ruling. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Do you not have anything that would make you independent of it?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted them to eat it (due to the state of necessity).

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لتفرد سماك به، ومثله لا يحتمل تفرده فى مثل هذه الأبواب
Hadith Number: 20919
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثنا خلف بن هشام ، حدثنا ابو عوانة ، عن سماك ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال: رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " يخطب قائما، يقعد قعدة لا يتكلم فيها، فقام فخطب خطبة اخرى قائما"، فمن حدثك ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خطب قاعدا، فلا تصدقه .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering the sermon while standing, then he would sit for a short while and would not speak to anyone, then he would stand up and deliver the second sermon. Therefore, if any of you says that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering the sermon while sitting, do not confirm it.

حدثنا عبد الله، حدثني ابو احمد مخلد بن الحسن يعني ابن ابي زميل ، حدثنا عبيد الله يعني ابن عمرو الرقي ، عن عبد الملك يعني ابن عمير ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال: سال رجل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اصلي في الثوب الذي آتي فيه اهلي؟ قال:" نعم، إلا ان ترى فيه شيئا فتغسله" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard a man asking the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Can I pray in the clothes in which I go to my wife?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes, unless you see a stain on them, then wash it off."

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده قوي، لكن اختلف فى رفعه ووقفه
Hadith Number: 20921
حدثنا عبد الله بن ميمون ابو عبد الرحمن الرقي ، حدثنا عبيد الله يعني ابن عمرو ، عن عبد الملك بن عمير ، عن جابر بن سمرة، قال: سمعت رجلا سال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اصلي في ثوبي الذي آتي فيه اهلي؟ قال:" نعم، إلا ان ترى فيه شيئا فتغسله" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard a man asking the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Can I pray in the clothes in which I go to my wife?"
