It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the day when the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) leading to his death began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me from Baqi. I was having a headache, so I said, "Oh, my head!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) jokingly said, "I wish that what is to happen would happen during my lifetime, so that I could prepare you well and bury you." I said, "You mean something else; you would spend the night as a bridegroom with another woman that very day." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to smile, and then the illness leading to his death began.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman came to her and said, "My daughter has recently gotten married, she has fallen ill and her hair is falling out. It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from five things: wearing silk and gold, drinking from gold and silver vessels, red saddle cloth, and silk clothing. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked, "O Messenger of Allah! If a little gold is mixed with musk?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No, you may mix it with silver, then mix it with saffron." Abdullah bin Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the voluntary prayers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so she replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ... ... Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.

She said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he prayed standing," and then she mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Muhammad ibn Salamah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that one day Hazrat Sahla came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! We used to consider Salim as our son, he lived with me and Abu Hudhaifa and used to see my private matters. Now Allah has revealed the command regarding adopted sons, which you also know." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Give him your milk to drink, you will become unlawful for him."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began in the house of Hazrat Maymunah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sought permission from his noble wives to spend the days of his illness in my house, and all of them granted permission. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out from there supported by Hazrat Abbas and another man (according to the narrator, he was Hazrat Ali, but Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not consider it necessary to mention his name). At that time, the blessed feet of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were dragging on the ground as he walked.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, during his final illness, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Pour water from seven such water skins over me whose mouths have not been opened, perhaps I may feel some relief, so that I may advise the people." So we seated the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a brass tub that was with Hazrat Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her), and began to pour water from those water skins over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until he began to signal to us to stop. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out.

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill with his final illness, he would repeatedly cover his blessed face with a sheet, and when he felt discomfort, he would remove the sheet from his face. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying, "May Allah curse the Jews and Christians; they made the graves of their prophets places of prostration." Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that in fact, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was warning people against their actions so that they would not fall into the same practice.

Narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my house, he said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." Hazrat Aisha submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Abu Bakr is a soft-hearted man; he will not be able to control his tears, because whenever Abu Bakr recites the Holy Qur'an, he starts weeping." And I said this only so that people would not start saying about Abu Bakr that he was the first man to stand in the place of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and thus become sinful. But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." When I repeated it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the same order and said, "You are like the women who were infatuated with Yusuf (Joseph) (who concealed something in their hearts and expressed something else with their tongues)."
