١٧٣١٧ - حدثنا هشيم عن ابن سالم عن الشعبي.
حدثنا هشيم، عن ابن سالم، عن الشعبي،
Ibrahim says that after a year has passed, the woman will be given the choice: if she wishes, she may keep the marriage, and if she wishes, she may end it.

١٧٣١٨ - و (عبيدة) (١) عن إبراهيم (قالا) (٢): (٣) تخير في راس الحول فإن شاءت اقامت وإن شاءت فارقته.

(٢) في [أ، ب، جـ، س، ز، ط، ك]: (قال).
(٣) في [ب]: زيادة (قال).
وعبيدة، عن إبراهيم، قالا: " تخير في راس الحول، فإن شاءت اقامت وإن شاءت فارقته"
17318 - And (Ubaidah) (1) from Ibrahim (they said) (2): (3) She has the choice at the completion of the year; if she wishes, she may remain, and if she wishes, she may separate from him.

١٧٣١٩ - حدثنا ابو خالد الاحمر عن محمد بن سالم عن الشعبي عن شريح قال: كتب إلي عمر ان اجله سنة فإن استطاعها وإلا خيرها فإن شاءت اقامت وإن شاءت فارقته (١).

(١) ضعيف جدًا؛ محمد بن سالم متروك.
حدثنا حدثنا ابو خالد الاحمر، عن محمد بن سالم، عن الشعبي، عن شريح، قال: كتب إلي عمر :" ان اجله سنة، فإن استطاعها وإلا خيرها، فإن شاءت اقامت وإن شاءت فارقته"
Hazrat Shurayh narrates that Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, wrote a letter to me stating that an impotent man should be given a respite of one year; if he becomes capable of intercourse, then fine, otherwise give the woman the choice—if she wishes, she may maintain the marriage, and if she wishes, she may end it.
