Hazrat Imran bin Muslim narrates that I saw Hazrat Anas in such a state that he had placed one of his legs over the other.

Hazrat Hakam says that I asked Hazrat Abu Majliz about a person who sits and places one of his feet over the other. He replied: There is nothing wrong in this. Indeed, this is something that the Jews consider disliked. They say: Allah Almighty created the heavens and the earth in six days, then on the seventh day He settled and sat in this manner.

Hazrat Ibn Sirin narrates that Hazrat Harun ibn Ri'ab asked him while he had one of his legs placed over the other, "O Abu Bakr! Do you consider this to be disliked?" He replied, "No."

Hazrat Rabee’ bin Mundhir narrates that his father Hazrat Mundhir said: I saw Muhammad ibn Hanafiyyah sitting with one leg placed over the other.

Hazrat Humaid bin Abdur Rahman narrates that Hazrat Israeel was asked, "Have you seen Hazrat Sha'bi sitting with one foot placed over the other?" He replied, "Yes."
