٣٠٢٨٩ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن حجاج عن حصين عن الشعبي عن الحارث عن علي قال: حد النبيذ ثمانون (١).

(١) ضعيف منقطع حكمًا؛ الحارث ضعيف، وحجاج مدلس.
Hazrat Harith narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The prescribed punishment for nabidh is eighty lashes.

٣٠٢٩٠ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن مسهر عن الشيباني عن حسان بن مخارق قال: بلغني ان (رجلا ساير عمر بن الخطاب) (١) في سفر وكان صائما، فلما افطر (اهوى) (٢) إلى قربة لعمر معلقة فيها نبيذ قد خضخضها البعير، فشرب منها فسكر، فضربه عمر الحد، فقال له: إنما شربت (٣) من قربتك، فقال له عمر: إنما جلدناك لسكرك (٤).

(٢) في [أ، ب، جـ، ك]: (هوى).
(٣) في [أ، ب، ط]: زيادة (الحد).
(٤) مجهول منقطع؛ حسان بن مخارق مجهول، ولا يروي عن عمر.
Hazrat Hassan bin Makharik narrates that news reached me that a man traveled with Hazrat Umar bin Khattab while he was fasting. When he broke his fast, he reached out his hand towards Hazrat Umar’s leather waterskin which was hanging and contained nabidh that had been well shaken by the camel. So the man drank from it and became intoxicated. Upon this, Hazrat Umar administered the prescribed punishment to him. The man said to him: Indeed, I drank from your waterskin? He replied to him: Indeed, we flogged you because you became intoxicated.

٣٠٢٩١ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن هشام عن الحسن في السكران من النبيذ قال: يضرب ثمانين.
Hazrat Hisham states that it is narrated from Hasan Basri regarding one who becomes intoxicated by drinking nabidh, that he will be given eighty lashes.

٣٠٢٩٢ - [حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن عبيدة عن إبراهيم قال: يضرب الحد في النبيذ] (١).

Hazrat Ubaidah says that Ibrahim stated: In the case of drinking nabidh, the prescribed punishment will be enforced.

٣٠٢٩٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن عبيدة عن ابي وائل: ليس فيه حد.
Hazrat Ubaidah says that Hazrat Abu Wa'il said: In this, the prescribed punishment will not be carried out.

٣٠٢٩٤ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا (ابن) (١) نمير عن حجاج عن ابي عون عن عبد الله بن شداد عن ابن عباس قال: في السكر من النبيذ ثمانون (٢).

Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaddad narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: In the case of intoxication from nabidh, the punishment is eighty lashes.

٣٠٢٩٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن ابيه عن شقيق (الضبي) (١) قال: فيه الحد، يضرب ثمانين.

Hazrat Fudayl says that Hazrat Shaqiq Dhabbi said: There will be a limit in this, and the same lashes will be administered.

٣٠٢٩٦ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن (سليمان) (١) عن مجالد عن الشعبي قال: كان علي يرزق الناس الطلاء في دنان صغار، فسكر منه رجل فجلده علي ثمانين، قال: فشهدوا عنده انه (إنما) (٢) سكر من الذي رزقهم، قال: ولم شرب منه حتى سكر (٣)؟.

(٢) سقط من: [أ، ح، ط، هـ].
(٣) ضعيف؛ لضعف مجالد.
Hazrat Sha’bi narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) gave people ripe grape syrup in small pitchers. As a result, one man became intoxicated. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) had him flogged eighty lashes. The narrator says that all the people testified before him that this person became intoxicated from the same syrup which you had given to the people. He said: Why did he drink so much of it that he became completely intoxicated?
