٣٤٠٩١ - حدثنا ابو معاوية ووكيع عن الاعمش عن عبد الله بن مرة عن ابي الاحوص عن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"إني ابرا إلى كل خليل من (خلته) (١) غير ان الله اتخذ صاحبكم خليلا، ولو كنت متخذا خليلا لاتخذت ابا بكر خليلا"، إلا ان وكيعا قال: من (خله) (٢) (٣).

(٣) صحيح؛ أخرجه مسلم (٢٣٨٣)، وأحمد (٣٥٨٠).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, I am free from the friendship of every friend except that indeed Allah has made your companion a friend. And if I were to take anyone as a friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) as a friend. And Hazrat Waki’ (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated the words“min khullah.”

٣٤٠٩٢ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ايوب عن عكرمة قال: قال ابن عباس: في (الجد) (١) (اما) (٢) الذي قال رسول الله ﷺ:"لو كنت متخذا من هذه الامة خليلا، لاتخذته" (٣).

(٣) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٣٥٦٦)، وأحمد (٣٣٨٥).
Hazrat Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding the grandfather: That is the person about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I were to take a friend from this Ummah, I would take Abu Bakr as a friend. Thus, Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a verdict concerning the right of the father.

٣٤٠٩٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن الاعمش عن عطية عن ابي سعيد قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"إن اهل الدرجات العلى ليرون من هو اسفل منهم كما (ترون) (١) الكوكب الطالع في الافق من آفاق السماء وإن ابا بكر وعمر (منهم) (٢) وانعما" (٣).

(٢) في [أ، جـ، ط، هـ]: (منهما).
(٣) ضعيف؛ لضعف عطية، والخبر أخرجه البخاري (٣٢٥٦)، ومسلم (٢٨٣١).
Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, the people of the higher ranks in Paradise will be seen by those of the lower ranks just as you see a rising star at the edge of the sky. And indeed, Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) will be among those people and will be in a good life.

٣٤٠٩٤ - حدثنا يونس بن محمد قال: ثنا فليح بن سليمان عن سالم ابي النضر عن عبيد بن حنين (وبسر) (١) بن (سعيد) (٢) عن ابي سعيد الخدري قال: خطب رسول الله ﷺ الناس فقال:"إن امن الناس علي في صحبته وماله ابو بكر، ولو كنت متخذا من الناس خليلا لاتخذت ابا بكر، ولكن اخوة الإسلام ومودته، لا يبقى في المسجد باب إلا سد إلا باب ابي بكر" (٣).

(٣) صحيح؛ أخرجه البخاري (٣٥٦٤)، ومسلم (٢٣٨٢).
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the people and said: Indeed, among the people, the one who has done the greatest favor to me in terms of love and wealth is Abu Bakr. If I were to take anyone as a close friend from among the people, I would have taken Abu Bakr as a close friend, but (between us) is only Islamic brotherhood and love. And all the doors opening into the mosque should be closed except the door of Abu Bakr.

٣٤٠٩٥ - حدثنا ابو معاوية عن الاعمش عن ابي صالح عن ابي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"ما نفعني مال ما نفعني مال ابي بكر"، قال: فبكى ابو بكر فقال: هل انا ومالي إلا لك يا رسول الله (١).

(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه أحمد (٧٤٤٦)، والنسائي في الكبرى (٨١١٠)، وابن ماجه (٩٤)، والترمذي (٣٦٦١)، وابن حبان (٦٨٥٨)، وابن أبي عاصم في السنة (١٢٢٩)، والطحاوي ٤/ ١٥٨، والخطيب ٢/ ١٣٥.
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one’s wealth has benefited me as much as Abu Bakr’s wealth has benefited me. The narrator says: Upon hearing this, Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) began to weep. Then he said: O Messenger of Allah! I and my wealth are only for you!

٣٤٠٩٦ - حدثنا شريك عن اشعث (بن) (١) ابي الشعثاء عن الاسود بن هلال ان اعرابيا قال لهم: شهدت صلاة (الصبح) (٢) مع (النبي) (٣) ﷺ ذات يوم فاقبل على الناس بوجهه فقال:"رايت اناسا من امتي البارحة وزنوا، فوزن ابو بكر فوزن، ثم وزن عمر فوزن" (٤).

Hazrat Aswad bin Hilal (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a Bedouin related to him: One day I performed the morning prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his face towards the people and said: Last night I saw that the deeds of people were being weighed. The deeds of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) were weighed and they became heavy, and the deeds of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) were weighed and they too became heavy.

٣٤٠٩٧ - حدثنا عفان قال: ثنا همام قال: ثنا ثابت عن انس ان ابا بكر حدثه قال: قلت للنبي ﷺ ونحن في الغار: لو ان احدهم ينظر إلى قدميه لابصرنا تحت قدميه فقال:"يا ابا بكر، ما ظنك باثنين الله ثالثهما" (١).

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while we were in the cave, "If any one of them looks down towards his feet, he will surely see us beneath his feet!" So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Bakr! What do you think about those two whose third is Allah?"

٣٤٠٩٨ - حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن ابي مالك الاشجعي عن سالم قال: قلت لابن الحنفية: ابو بكر كان اول القوم إسلاما، قال: لا، قلت: (مم) (١) (علا) (٢) (٣) ابو بكر و (بسق) (٤) حتى لا يذكر غير ابي بكر فقال: كان افضلهم إسلاما حين اسلم حتى لحق بالله.

Hazrat Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Ibn Hanfiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him): Was Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) the very first person among the people to accept Islam? He said: No! I asked: Then why did Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) attain such a high rank and fame, to the extent that no one else is even mentioned besides Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)? So he (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: When he (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam, he was the most virtuous among the people in terms of Islam, until he (may Allah be pleased with him) met Allah.

٣٤٠٩٩ - حدثنا ابن علية عن خالد عن ابي قلابة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"ارحم امتي (١) ابو بكر" (٢).

Hazrat Abu Qilabah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The most merciful among my Ummah is Abu Bakr.

٣٤١٠٠ - حدثنا مروان بن (معاوية) (١) عن عوف عن الحسن ان النبي ﷺ نعت ⦗٨⦘ يوما الجنة وما فيها من الكرامة، (فقال) (٢) فيما يقول:"إن فيها لطيرا امثال البخت"، فقال ابو بكر: يا رسول الله إن تلك (الطير) (٣) ناعمة، فقال النبي ﷺ (٤):"يا ابا بكر من ياكل منها انعم منها، والله يا ابا بكر، إني لارجو ان تكون ممن ياكل منها" (٥).

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) one day mentioned Paradise and the blessings found therein. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding it: Indeed, the birds found therein will be like Khurasani camels. So Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Will those birds also be fat? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: O Abu Bakr! Whoever eats them will be pleased with them. By Allah, O Abu Bakr! I hope that you will be among those who eat from those birds.
