Imam Shabi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that when the fort of Khaybar was conquered, someone came and informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that Hazrat Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) had arrived from the court of Najashi. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not know which of these two things brings me more happiness: the arrival of Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) or the conquest of Khaybar." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met him, embraced him, and kissed him on the spot between his two eyes.

Hazrat Aamir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) married Hazrat Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her). Then, Asma’s sons, Muhammad bin Ja’far and Muhammad bin Abi Bakr, began to boast to each other. One of them said:“I am more honorable than you, and my father is superior to your father.”Upon this, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said:“I will decide between you two.”Meanwhile, Hazrat Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) said:“I have not seen any young man among the Arabs better than Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him), and I have not seen any elder better than Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him).”So Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to her:“You have not left anything for us. If you had said anything else, I would have been very angry with you.”Hazrat Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) said:“And you are the least virtuous among the three.”
