Some Opinions Regarding a Horse That Is Set Free and Urged to Run

٣٤٨٠٦ - حدثنا عفان قال: ثنا حماد بن سلمة عن حميد عن الحسن عن عمران بن حصين قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"لا جلب ولا جنب" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) منقطع؛ الحسن لا يروي عن عمران، أخرجه أحمد (١٩٩٨٧)، وأبو داود (٢٥٨١)، والنسائي ٦/ ٢٢٨، والترمذي (١١٢٣)، وابن حبان (٣٢٦٧)، والطيالسي (٨٣٨)، والبيهقي ١٠/ ٢١، والدارقطني ٤/ ٣٠٣، والطبراني ١٨/ (٣٩٠)، والبزار (٣٥٣٥)، والطحاوي في شرح المشكل (١٣١٢).
Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible to shout to make a horse run, and during a horse race, to keep a horse at your side so that when it becomes tired you mount another, this is also not permissible.

٣٤٨٠٧ - حدثنا (سهل) (١) بن يوسف عن حميد عن الحسن عن عمران بن حصين بمثله ولم يرفعه (٢).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [أ، ب، هـ]: (شبل).
(٢) منقطع، وورد مرفوعًا كما في الذي قبله.
The previously mentioned hadith from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah have mercy on him) is also transmitted as mawquf through this chain.

٣٤٨٠٨ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا معقل بن عبيد الله العبسي عن عطاء قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"لا جلب ولا جنب في الإسلام" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) مرسل؛ عطاء تابعي.
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Islam, it is not permissible to make noise to urge a horse to run. And during a horse race, keeping another horse by your side so that if the first horse slows down, you can mount the second one, this is also not permissible.

٣٤٨٠٩ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن محمد بن إسحاق عن عمرو بن شعيب عن ابيه عن جده قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:"لا جلب ولا جنب" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) حسن؛ صرح ابن إسحاق بالسماع عند البيهقي والبغوي، أخرجه أحمد (٦٦٩٢)، والبيهقي ٨/ ٢٩، وابن الجارود (١٠٥٢)، والبغوي (٢٥٤٢).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible to make noise to urge a horse to run, and during a horse race, it is also not permissible to keep another horse at your side so that in case the first horse slows down, you mount the second one.
