Hazrat Sa’d bin Abi Dhibab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted Islam. I submitted,“O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Appoint something for my people so that they may be willing to accept Islam.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) appointed something for them.

Hazrat Sakhr bin Ailah narrates that I apprehended the uncle of Hazrat Mughirah and brought him to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him). Meanwhile, Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and inquired about his uncle. He was informed that he was with me. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) called me and said: O Sakhr! When a people accept Islam, they safeguard their wealth. He says that we gave it to him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) granted me water for Banu Sulaym, so they accepted Islam and came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and requested water. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: O Sakhr! When a people accept Islam, they save their lives and wealth, so return it to them. Thus, I returned it to them.

Hazrat Hasan bin Salih (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about the Islam of the people of the wilderness and villages. He replied: Whoever among the people of Sawad became Muslim, if he was a dhimmi (one who had a covenant), the land and wealth remain his. And whoever embraced Islam who had no covenant (no agreement or treaty), and he was conquered by force, then his land belongs to the Muslims. Hazrat Ubaidullah says that this was written in the letter of Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz.

35677 - Ubayd Allah said: This is in the book of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz.

Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that any city which is conquered by force, then if its inhabitants accept Islam, they will be free and their wealth will go to the Muslims.

Hazrat Hani bin Yazid narrates that I appeared before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, along with the delegation of my tribe. When the delegation intended to return to their region, he, may Allah be pleased with him, granted each person among them, in his region, the land he preferred as a fief.

Hazrat Zuhri says that whoever becomes a Muslim will safeguard his life and wealth except for land, except for the case that he became a Muslim without any action or fighting.

Hazrat Ghalib Al-Abdi narrates from a man of Banu Namir that he came to the service of the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and said, "O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! My people have believed on the condition that I will give them such and such." The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, "If you wish, you may withdraw from it, and leaving it is better."

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Whoever among the people of the land is a Muslim, his wealth and family will belong to him, and the land that is his is a bounty from Allah for the Muslims.

Hazrat Ata and Hazrat Zuhri d say that it is from the Sunnah that a person should meet the one upon whom he became a Muslim.
