حدثنا احمد بن محمد بن عبد الله بن زياد القطان ، حدثنا عبد الكريم بن الهيثم ، حدثنا ابو الوليد الطيالسي ، نا سلم بن زرير ، قال: سمعت ابا رجاء ، يقول: حدثنا عمران بن حصين ، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فادلجوا ليلتهم حتى إذا كانوا في وجه الصبح عرس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فغلبتهم اعينهم فناموا حتى ارتفعت الشمس، فكان اول من استيقظ من منامه ابو بكر رضي الله عنه، وكان لا يوقظ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من منامه احد حتى يستيقظ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاستيقظ عمر رضي الله عنه، فقعد عند راسه وجعل يكبر ويرفع صوته حتى استيقظ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فلما استيقظ فراى الشمس قد بزغت، قال:" ارتحلوا"، فسار شيئا حتى إذا ابيضت الشمس نزل فصلى بنا، واعتزل رجل من القوم لم يصل معنا فلما انصرف قال:" يا فلان ما منعك ان تصلي معنا؟"، قال: يا رسول الله، اصابتني جنابة، فامره ان يتيمم الصعيد ثم صلى، فعجلني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في ركب بين يديه اطلب الماء، وقد عطشنا عطشا شديدا فبينما نحن نسير إذا نحن بامراة سادلة رجليها بين مزادتين، قلنا لها: اين الماء؟ قالت: إيهات إيهات لا ماء، قلنا: كم بين اهلك وبين الماء؟ قالت: يوم وليلة، قلنا: انطلقي إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالت: وما رسول الله؟ فلم نملكها من امرها شيئا حتى استقبلنا بها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فحدثته بمثل الذي حدثتنا غير انها حدثته انها مؤتمة، قال: فامر بمزادتيها فمج في العزلاوين، فشربنا عطاشا اربعين رجلا حتى روينا، وملانا كل قربة معنا وإداوة، وغسلنا صاحبنا غير انا لم نسق بعيرا وهي تكاد تتصدع من الماء، ثم قال لنا:" هاتوا ما عندكم"، فجمع لها من الكسر والتمر حتى صر لها صرة، فقال:" اذهبي فاطعمي عيالك واعلمي انا لم نرزا من مائك شيئا"، فلما اتت اهلها، قالت: لقد لقيت اسحر الناس او هو نبي كما زعموا، فهدى الله ذلك الصرم بتلك المراة، واسلمت واسلموا . اخرجه البخاري، عن ابي الوليد بهذا الإسناد، واخرجه مسلم، عن احمد بن سعيد الدارمي، عن ابي علي الحنفي، عن سلم بن زرير.
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once we were traveling with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) until the time of morning approached. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered us to camp. The people fell asleep and slept until the sun had risen high. The first to wake up was Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). No one would wake the Prophet (peace be upon him) from sleep until he woke up himself. When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) woke up and saw that the sun had risen high, he sat by the head of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and began to say the takbir in a loud voice until the Prophet (peace be upon him) woke up. When he woke up and saw that the sun had risen high, he departed from there. He traveled a little until the sun was shining brightly. Then he camped and led us in prayer. One of those present stayed apart and did not pray with us. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer, he asked: "What prevented you from praying with us?" He replied: "O Messenger of Allah! I am in a state of major impurity (janabah)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered him: "Perform tayammum with earth and pray." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent me ahead with some riders to search for water, as we were extremely thirsty. We were traveling when we saw a woman who had two water skins with her. We asked her: "Where is water?" She replied: "There is no water here." We asked: "How far is it between us and water?" She replied: "A day and a night's journey." We said: "Come with us to the Messenger of Allah." She asked: "Where is the Messenger of Allah?" So we brought her to the Prophet (peace be upon him). She told the Prophet (peace be upon him) the same thing she had told us, but she added that she was the mother of orphan children. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that her water skins be opened from the bottom. Forty thirsty people drank from them until we were all satisfied. We filled every vessel and bowl we had. We gave water to our companion for ghusl, but we did not give water to our camels. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered: "Bring whatever you have." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) gathered pieces of bread, dates, and so on for her, tied them in a bundle, and said: "Go and feed this to your family, and know that we have not decreased anything from your water." When she returned home, she said: "I have met the greatest magician, or he is a Prophet, as the people say." The narrator says that because of this woman, Allah guided her tribe. The woman became Muslim, and her tribe also became Muslim. Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated this report from Abu al-Walid with this chain, while Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated it from Ahmad bin Sa'id al-Darimi.

حدثنا الحسين بن إسماعيل ، نا علي بن مسلم ، نا ابو داود ، نا عباد بن راشد ، سمعت ابا رجاء العطاردي، قال: سمعت عمران بن حصين ، قال: سار بنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ذات ليلة، ثم عرسنا فلم نستيقظ إلا بحر الشمس، فاستيقظ منا ستة قد نسيت اسماءهم، ثم استيقظ ابو بكر رضي الله عنه، فجعل يمنعهم ان يوقظوا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ويقول: لعل الله ان يكون احتبسه في حاجته، فجعل ابو بكر يكثر التكبير، فاستيقظ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالوا: يا رسول الله ذهبت صلاتنا، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لم تذهب صلاتكم ارتحلوا من هذا المكان"، فارتحل فسار قريبا، ثم نزل فصلى، فقال:" اما إن الله قد اتم صلاتكم"، قالوا: يا رسول الله، إن فلانا لم يصل معنا، فقال له:" ما منعك ان تصلي؟"، قال: يا رسول الله، اصابتني جنابة، قال:" فتيمم الصعيد وصله فإذا قدرت على الماء فاغتسل"، وبعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عليا في طلب الماء، ومع كل واحد منا إداوة مثل اذني الارنب بين جلده وثوبه، إذا عطش رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ابتدرناه بالماء، فانطلق حتى ارتفع عليه النهار ولم يجد ماء فإذا شخص، قال علي، رضي الله عنه: مكانكم حتى ننظر ما هذا، قال: فإذا امراة بين مزادتين من ماء، فقيل لها: يا امة الله اين الماء؟ قالت: لا ماء والله لكم استقيت امس، فسرت نهاري وليلي جميعا وقد اصبحنا إلى هذه الساعة، قالوا لها: انطلقي إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قالت: ومن رسول الله؟ قالوا: محمد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قالت: مجنون قريش؟ قالوا: إنه ليس بمجنون، ولكنه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قالت: يا هؤلاء دعوني فوالله لقد تركت صبية لي صغارا في غنيمة قد خشيت ان لا ادركهم حتى يموت بعضهم من العطش، فلم يملكوها من نفسها شيئا حتى اتوا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بها، فامر بالبعير فانيخ ثم حل المزادة من اعلاها ثم دعا بإناء عظيم فملاه من الماء ثم دفعه إلى الجنب، فقال:" اذهب فاغتسل"، قالوا: ايم الله ما تركنا من إداوة ولا قربة ماء ولا إناء إلا ملاه من الماء وهي تنظر ثم شد المزادة من اعلاها وبعث بالبعير، وقال:" يا هذه دونك ماءك فوالله إن لم يكن الله زاد فيه ما نقص من مائك قطرة"، ودعا لها بكساء فبسط، ثم قال لنا:" من كان عنده شيء فليات به"، فجعل الرجل ياتي بخلق النعل، وبخلق الثوب، والقبضة من الشعير، والقبضة من التمر، والفلقة من الخبز حتى جمع لها ذلك، ثم اوكاه لها فسالها عن قومها فاخبرته، قال: فانطلقت حتى اتت قومها، قالوا: ما حبسك؟ قالت: اخذني مجنون قريش والله إنه لاحد الرجلين إما ان يكون اسحر ما بين هذه، وهذه تعني السماء والارض، او إنه لرسول الله حقا، قال: فجعل خيل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم تغير على من حولهم وهم آمنون، قال: فقالت المراة لقومها: اي قوم والله ما ارى هذا الرجل إلا قد شكر لكم ما اخذ من مائكم الا ترون يغار على من حولكم وانتم آمنون لا يغار عليكم هل لكم في خير؟ قالوا: وما هو؟ قالت: ناتي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ونسلم، قال: فجاءت تسوق بثلاثين اهل بيت حتى بايعوا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاسلموا .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one night the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled with us. Then we camped at night and slept, and we woke up due to the heat of the sun. Six of us woke up, whose names I have forgotten. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) woke up and forbade the people from waking the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Perhaps Allah has kept the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) here for a reason." Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) kept saying the takbir until the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up. The people said: "Our prayer has been missed." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your prayer has not been lost. You people move on." Then we moved on and continued traveling. At one place, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) camped and performed the prayer. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Now your prayer is complete." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! So-and-so did not perform the prayer with us." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that person: "Why did you not perform the prayer with us?" He replied: "I had become junub (in a state of major ritual impurity)." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform tayammum with earth and offer the prayer, and when you are able to find water, then perform ghusl." Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in search of water. Each one of us had a vessel the size of a rabbit's ear, which was between his clothes and his body. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) felt thirsty, we hurried forward. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued traveling until the sun had risen high. A person was seen. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You people stay here, I will see who this is." The narrator says that it was a woman who had two water skins with her. She was asked: "O bondswoman of Allah! Where is water here?" She replied: "There is no water here. By Allah! I set out yesterday in search of water. I have traveled the whole day and night, and now this time has come." So they said: "Come with us to the Messenger of Allah." She said: "Who is the Messenger of Allah?" The people said: "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Messenger of Allah." She said: "The one who is mad and belongs to the Quraysh?" The people said: "He is not mad, he is the Messenger of Allah." The woman said: "Let me go, I have left my small children and goats behind. I fear that one of them may die of thirst." But they did not listen to her and brought her to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). By the order of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), her camel was made to sit down. Then her water skin was opened from the top. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for a large vessel, filled it with water, and gave it to the junub person. He said: "Go and perform ghusl." The narrator says: By Allah! We filled every vessel and every water skin present there with water. The woman kept watching. Then the mouth of her water skin was closed from the top, and the camel was made to stand up. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O woman! This is your water. By Allah! Allah has increased it, not a single drop has been decreased from your water." Then, by the order of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a sheet was brought for the woman. He said: "Whoever has anything, let him bring it." Someone brought shoes, someone brought clothes, someone brought a handful of barley, someone brought a handful of wheat, until everything was brought and tied up and given to her. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her about her tribe, and she informed him. The narrator says that then the woman left and went to her tribe. The people asked: "Where were you delayed?" She said: "I was caught by the madman from the Quraysh. By Allah! There is something in him, either he is a magician between this and that." The woman meant between the sky and the earth: "Or he is truly the Messenger of Allah." The narrator says that the military detachments sent by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to attack the people around her tribe, but they remained safe. The narrator says that the woman said to her tribe: "O my people! By Allah! I think that this man is doing this as a favor to you, because they used your water. Have you not noticed that the people around you are being attacked, but you are safe, you are not being attacked? Do you want good?" The people asked: "What is that?" The woman said: "Let us go to the service of the Messenger of Allah and accept Islam." The narrator says that she brought thirty families, they pledged allegiance at the blessed hand of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted Islam.

حدثنا الحسين ، والقاسم ابنا إسماعيل ، قالا: نا محمود بن خداش ، نا مروان بن معاوية الفزاري ، نا عوف الاعرابي ، عن ابي رجاء العطاردي ، نا عمران بن حصين الخزاعي ، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر وإنا سرينا ذات ليلة حتى إذا كان في آخر الليل وقعنا تلك الوقعة ولا وقعة عند المسافر احلى منها، فما ايقظنا إلا حر الشمس ثم ذكر نحوه، وقال فيه: فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يا فلان، ما لك لم تصل معنا؟"، قال: اصابتني جنابة يا رسول الله ولا ماء، فقال:" عليك بالصعيد فإنه يكفيك"، وقال فيه ايضا: ودعا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بإناء فافرغ فيه من افواه المزادتين او السطيحتين، ثم تمضمض ثم اعاده في الإناء، ثم اعاده في افواههما واوكاهما واطلق العزالي، ونودي في الناس ان اسقوا واستقوا، فسقى من سقى، واستقى من استقى، وآخر ذلك ان اعطى الرجل الذي اصابته الجنابة إناء من الماء، فقال:" افرغه عليك"، وهي قائمة تنظر إلى ما يصنع بمائها، وايم الله لقد اقلع عنها حين اقلع وإنه ليخيل إلينا انها اشد ملا مما كانت حيث ابتدا فيها، وذكر باقي الحديث نحوه.
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We traveled throughout the night. When the last part of the night came, we fell asleep. At that time, there was nothing more delightful than sleep. The heat of the sun woke us up. He narrated the hadith as usual. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "O so-and-so! Did you not pray with us?" He replied: "O Messenger of Allah! I became junub (in a state of major ritual impurity) and there was no water available." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Use earth (for tayammum), it will be better for you." In this narration, these words are also present: The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked for a vessel, poured water from the mouths of the water skins into the vessels, then he rinsed his mouth and poured that water back into the vessel, then he poured that vessel of water back into those water skins, closed their mouths from the top and opened them from the bottom. Then he announced among the people: "Let them drink water themselves and give their animals to drink as well." Whoever wanted to drink himself, drank, and whoever wanted to give their animals to drink, did so. In the end, water was given to the person who had become junub. He was given a vessel of water and was told: "Pour this over your body." The woman stood up and kept watching what was happening with her water. The narrator says: By Allah! When their mouths were closed, it seemed as if those water skins were even fuller than they were at the beginning. He narrated the rest of the hadith in a similar manner.

حدثنا حدثنا الحسين بن إسماعيل، نا محمد بن يزيد اخو كرخويه، انا يزيد بن هارون ، انا شعبة ، عن عطاء بن السائب ، عن زاذان ، عن علي رضي الله عنه، قال: في الرجل يكون في السفر فتصيبه الجنابة ومعه الماء القليل يخاف ان يعطش، قال:" يتيمم ولا يغتسل" .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says regarding a person who is traveling, becomes junub, and does not have water with him, due to which he fears remaining thirsty, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "That person should perform tayammum, he should not perform ghusl."

حدثنا حدثنا الحسين، حدثنا محمد بن عمرو بن ابي مذعور، نا عبد الله بن نمير ، نا إسماعيل بن مسلم، عن عبيد الله، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر " انه اتي بجنازة وهو على غير وضوء، فتيمم، ثم صلى عليها" .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once a funeral was brought, and he was not in a state of ablution at that time. He performed tayammum and offered the funeral prayer.

حدثنا حدثنا الحسين بن إسماعيل، نا عبد الله بن ابي سعد ، نا عباد بن موسى ، نا طلحة بن يحيى ، حدثني يونس بن يزيد ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن خارجة بن زيد ، قال:" كان زيد بن ثابت قد سلس منه البول، فكان يداري ما غلبه منه فلما غلبه ارسله، وكان يصلي وهو يخرج منه" .
Kharijah bin Zaid narrates that Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) suffered from the illness of drops of urine being discharged, and he would perform prayer in such a state while the drops were still coming out.

حدثنا حدثنا ابو بكر النيسابوري ، نا احمد بن منصور ، نا عبد الرزاق ، انا معمر ، عن الزهري ، عن خارجة بن زيد ، قال:" كبر زيد بن ثابت حتى سلس منه البول، فكان يداريه ما استطاع، فإذا غلب عليه توضا وصلى" .
Sayyiduna Kharijah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said the takbir, then drops of urine began to come out from him. As much as he could, he tried to stop it, but when it overcame him, he performed ablution and completed the prayer.

حدثنا ابو بكر النيسابوري، نا احمد، نا يزيد بن ابي حكيم، نا سفيان، عن يحيى بن سعيد، عن سعيد بن المسيب، قال:" لو سال على فخذي ما انصرفت" . قال سفيان: يعني البول إذا كان مبتلى.
Saeed bin Musayyib says: "If it is flowing on my thighs, even then I will not end the prayer." The narrator named Sufyan states that what is meant by this is urine, that is, when a person is afflicted with illness.
