Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited the Du'a Qunoot in the Fajr and Maghrib prayers. This statement was narrated by the narrator named Abu Bakr. The mention of this narration being transmitted from Abu Ishaq through Shu’bah was made by the narrator named Baqiyyah.

Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the supplication of Qunoot in the Fajr and Maghrib prayers.

Muhammad bin Sirin narrates: This person related this hadith to me, who had performed the Fajr prayer behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). When the Prophet (peace be upon him) raised his head after the second rak'ah, he stood for a short while (that is, during this time he recited the supplication of Qunoot).

Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed any obligatory prayer, he would recite the Du’a Qunoot in it.

Abdullah bin Nafi’ narrates from his father, from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade reciting the Qunoot supplication in the Fajr prayer. The narrators of this narration—Muhammad bin Ya’la, ‘Anbasah, Abdullah bin Nafi’—all are weak, and another narrator, Nafi’, has not been established to have heard hadith from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her).

The same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Safiyyah bint Abu Ubaid, attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), but this woman named Safiyyah did not attain the era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went into bowing during prayer, then he raised his head and made this supplication: "O Allah! Grant salvation to ‘Ayyash bin Rabi‘ah! O Allah! Grant salvation to Salamah bin Hisham! O Allah! Grant salvation to Walid bin Walid! O Allah! Grant salvation to the weak Muslims! O Allah! Send Your severity upon Mudar (the tribe)! O Allah! Impose upon them a famine like that during the time of Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him)!" Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went into prostration.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I perform the prayer in accordance with the way of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) better than all of you. The narrator states: Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite the Qunoot supplication after saying "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah" in the last rak'ah of the Zuhr and 'Isha prayers, and he would supplicate for the believers and invoke curses upon the disbelievers.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continuously recited the supplication of Qunoot in the Fajr prayer until he departed from this world.

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the supplication of Qunoot for a month, in which he supplicated against them (the disbelievers), then he abandoned it. As for the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to recite the supplication of Qunoot in it until he departed from this world.
