Book of Divorce
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي مَتَاعِ الْمُطَلَّقَةِ
Chapter on what is reported regarding the provision for a divorced woman
Hadith Number: 1783
نا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم، قال: سالت ابن ابي نجيح، سئل عن رجل طلق امراته قبل ان يدخل بها، وقد فرض لها هل لها متاع؟ فقال: كان عطاء، يقول:" لا متاع لها" .
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If the dowry is fixed and consummation has not taken place, then there is no gift for the woman."

Hadith Number: 1784
نا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم، قال: انا ايوب، قال: سمعت سعيد بن جبير، يقول: " لكل مطلقة متاع" .
Hazrat Sa'id bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Every divorced woman is entitled to provision (mut'ah)."
