Abdullah Yashkari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the grand mosque of Kufa was built for the first time, I went there. At that time, there were also date palm trees there and its walls were made of sandy soil. There, a person was narrating this hadith: I received news of the Farewell Pilgrimage of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), so I selected a camel fit for riding from among my camels and set out. When I reached a place on the way to Arafat, I sat down. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mounted his ride, I recognized him by his appearance. Meanwhile, a man who was ahead of him said, "Move out of the way of the riding animals." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Perhaps he has some work." So I came so close to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that the heads of both our mounts were near each other. I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise and be a means of salvation from Hell." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Wonderful, wonderful! I kept my sermon brief, and you have asked an excellent question. If you are intelligent, then worship only Allah, do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, pay zakat, perform Hajj of the House of Allah, and fast in the month of Ramadan. Now, make way for the riding animals."

Ask him why he killed me? So Allah will ask him: For what reason did you kill him? He will say: Because of so-and-so’s rule. Therefore, you should avoid this.

I have also found a man from Syria who is here among the Quraysh; he will go there with me and return." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Offer that prayer here." He repeated his statement three times, and each time the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Offer that prayer here." When it was the fourth time, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go and offer the prayer there. By the One Who sent Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with the truth, if you had offered the prayer here, all the prayers of Bayt al-Maqdis would have been fulfilled here."
