It is narrated from a Bedouin companion, may Allah be pleased with him, that once during the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), I brought a camel to Madinah Munawwarah. After I finished selling it, I thought to myself that I should meet this man and listen to his words. So, I found the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) walking between Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and I began to walk behind them until all three of them reached a Jew who had opened the Torah and was reading it, comforting himself with it because his extremely handsome and beautiful young son was near death. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "I ask you by the One who revealed the Torah, do you read in the Torah my same attributes and the same circumstances of my Prophethood?" He gestured with his head in denial. His dying son said, "Yes! By the One who revealed the Torah, we find in our book your same attributes and the same circumstances of your Prophethood, and I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that you are the Messenger of Allah." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Remove these Jews from your brother's side." Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) himself arranged for his shrouding, burial, and funeral prayer.

It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon on the day of the conquest of Makkah and said: There is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He helped His servant and alone defeated all the armies. Beware! Everything that was considered a matter of pride in the Age of Ignorance and every claim of blood or general claim is under my two feet today. However, the key of the House of Allah and the responsibility of providing water to the pilgrims will remain. Beware! Whoever is killed as a result of doubtfully intentional action with a whip, stick, or stone, in that case, a severe blood money (diyat-e-mughallazah) will be obligatory, that is, one hundred camels among which forty will be pregnant she-camels.

It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us on his red camel and said, "Do you know what day it is today?" We replied, "The Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr)." He said, "You have spoken the truth, this is the day of the Greater Pilgrimage (Hajj al-Akbar). Do you know what month this is?" We replied, "Dhul-Hijjah." He said, "You have spoken the truth, this is the Silent Month." He then asked, "Do you know what place this is?" We replied, "The Sacred Monument (Mash'ar Haram)." He said, "You have spoken the truth. Your lives and your wealth are sacred to you just as the sanctity of this day, in this month, in this city. Remember! I will wait for you at the Pond of Kawthar and I will see you, and through you I will show my abundance to other nations. Therefore, do not blacken my face. You have seen me and heard my words, and you will be asked about me. Whoever attributes a lie to me should prepare his abode in Hell. Remember! I will save some people, and many people will be taken away from me. I will say, 'O Lord, these are my companions.' Then it will be said to me, 'You do not know what innovations they introduced after you.'"

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the presence of the Prophet and said, "Give me some brief advice." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you stand to perform your prayer, pray as if you are offering the prayer of farewell. Do not utter anything from your mouth for which you would have to apologize tomorrow, and remove your hopes from what people possess."

Abu Abdur Rahman Hubli (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once we were traveling by sea, and our leader was Abdullah bin Qais Khazari. With us was Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him). Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by the distributor, who had made the captives stand on one side, among whom was a woman who was crying. Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "What is the matter with this woman?" People informed him that she had been separated from her son. Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) took the hand of her son and placed it in the woman's hand. Seeing this, the distributor went to Abdullah bin Qais Fuzari and informed him of the matter. Abdullah sent a messenger to Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask why he had done this. He replied, "I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever separates a mother from her child, Allah will separate him from his loved ones on the Day of Resurrection."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Soon cities will be conquered for you and your armies will be assembled, but some among you will not be willing to go with the army without wages. Indeed, it will happen that a man will leave his people and run away, and present himself before other tribes, saying: Is there anyone who will pay me such-and-such amount so that I may join the battlefield on his behalf? Remember! Such a person will remain a laborer until the last drop of his blood.
