It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not make any property dependent on death (such that when someone dies, his ownership also ends). If anyone does so, then the rules of inheritance will apply to it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever gives property to someone for a lifetime, it will belong to the giver both during his life and after his death. Do not make the ownership of any property dependent on death (i.e., that when the person dies, his ownership ends). If anyone does so, then the rules of inheritance will apply to it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we were preparing the copies of the Mushaf, I could not find one verse of Surah Ahzab among them which I used to hear the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) recite. I searched for it and found it only with Hazrat Khuzaymah bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), whose testimony the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) considered equal to the testimony of two men. And that verse was: "Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah."

Ibn Daylami (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I went to meet Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "O Abu'l-Mundhir! Some doubts about predestination have arisen in my heart. Please narrate to me a hadith by the blessing of which these doubts may be removed from my heart." He replied, "If Allah were to punish all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, He would not be unjust to them. And if He were to have mercy on them, His mercy would be greater than their deeds. And if you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud in the way of Allah, Allah would not accept it from you until you believe in predestination completely, and until you are certain that whatever has come to you could not have missed you, and whatever has missed you could not have come to you. If you die on any belief other than this, you will enter Hell." Then I went to Hazrat Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he gave me the same answer. Then I went to Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also gave me the same answer. Then I went to Hazrat Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also gave me the same answer and narrated it from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am leaving among you two deputies; one is the Book of Allah, which is a rope hanging between the heavens and the earth, and the other is my Ahl al-Bayt. And these two things will never be separated until they come to me at the Pond of Kawthar.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at a place in Madinah Munawwarah where there were some graves. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was riding a mule at that time, when suddenly the mule became startled and was about to throw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) off. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Does anyone know whose graves these are?" A man replied, "O Messenger of Allah! These people died during the time of ignorance." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If it were not for the fear that you would stop burying your dead, I would have prayed to Allah to let you hear some of the punishment of the grave." Then he said to us, "Seek Allah's protection from the punishment of Hell." We said, "We seek Allah's protection from the punishment of Hell." Then he said, "Seek Allah's protection from the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal)." We said, "We seek Allah's protection from the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal)." Then he said, "Seek Allah's protection from the punishment of the grave." We said, "We seek Allah's protection from the punishment of the grave." Then he said, "Seek Allah's protection from the trials of life and death." We said, "We seek Allah's protection from the trials of life and death."

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were commanded to say Subhan Allah thirty-three times, Alhamdulillah thirty-three times, and Allahu Akbar thirty-four times after every obligatory prayer. Then an Ansari saw a dream in which someone asked him, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) command you to recite these tasbihat in this way after every prayer?" He replied, "Yes!" The person said, "Recite them twenty-five times each, and add twenty-five times La ilaha illallah to them." When morning came, he mentioned this dream to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do it in this way."
