It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that I entered the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). (The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and he closed the door. At that time, the House of Allah consisted of six pillars. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) walked and reached near the two pillars that were close to the door of the Ka'bah.) He sat down and praised Allah, proclaimed His greatness and oneness (made supplication and sought forgiveness), then stood up and went to the front part of the House of Allah and placed his blessed chest, cheek, and blessed hands upon it. Then he continued to proclaim Allah's greatness and oneness and supplicated. He did the same at every corner, and after coming out and reaching the door of the Ka'bah, he faced the Qiblah and said two or three times: "This is the Qiblah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed from Arafat and reached the valley where people used to make their mounts sit down. The Noble Prophet also made his she-camel sit there, then he urinated and cleansed himself with water, then he asked for water for ablution and performed ablution, but not excessively. I said, "O Messenger of Allah! The time for prayer has come." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The prayer is ahead of you." Then he mounted his ride and reached Muzdalifah, where he offered the Maghrib prayer. Then people made their mounts sit at their respective places, and before they could unload their luggage, the Isha prayer was established. He offered the prayer, and did not offer any prayer between the two.

Kharijah bin Salat (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his uncle that once he went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he was returning, he passed by a people who had a madman whom they had bound with iron chains. His family members said, "We have heard that your companion has brought goodness. Does he have anything by which he can treat him?" He says, "I recited Surah Al-Fatihah over him twice daily for three days, and he was cured. Those people gave me a hundred sheep. I went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and related this incident. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Take them, for by my life! Some people eat from unlawful incantations, while you have eaten from a lawful and true incantation.'"

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim by swearing a false oath will meet Allah in such a state that Allah will be angry with him. Upon hearing this, Hazrat Ash'ath (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This command was revealed regarding my incident, the details of which are as follows: There was some land shared between me and a Jew. The Jew denied my share, so I brought him to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: Do you have any witnesses? I replied: No. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the Jew: Then you must swear an oath. I said: O Messenger of Allah! He will take my property by swearing an oath. Upon this, Allah revealed this verse up to the end: "Indeed, those who exchange Allah’s covenant and their oaths for a small price..."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ash'ath bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I appeared before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a delegation who did not consider me superior among them. I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! We think that your lineage joins with ours?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "We are the descendants of Nadr bin Kinana. We do not accuse our mother of immorality, nor do we deny our lineage from our father." After this, Hazrat Ash'ath (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say, "If anyone is brought to me who denies the lineage of the Quraysh from Nadr bin Kinana, I will punish him with lashes."
