Sometimes it comes and sometimes it goes. Therefore, if an epidemic spreads in a region, do not go into that region, and if an epidemic spreads in a region where you are already present, do not flee from it.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Arafah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated him behind himself on his mount. People began to say, "Our companion will inform us of what the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did." Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed after standing at Arafat, he pulled the head of his mount so much that it touched, or nearly touched, the middle part of the saddle, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to gesture to the people to remain calm, until they reached Muzdalifah. Then Hazrat Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was made to sit behind him. People began to say, "Our companion will inform us of what the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did." Accordingly, he reported that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to move slowly as he had the previous day, except that when he reached the valley of Muhassir, he quickened his pace until he had passed through it.

He replied, "Do you think that whatever I say to him, I will also tell you? Whatever I say to him is between me and him. I do not like to be the first to disclose this matter. And by Allah! I cannot say about any man that you are the best of all people, even if he is my ruler, while I have also heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say regarding this that on the Day of Resurrection a man will be brought and thrown into Hell, and his intestines will come out, and he will go around with them as a donkey goes around a millstone. Seeing this, all the people of Hell will gather around him and say, 'O so-and-so! What has happened to you? Did you not command us to do good and forbid us from evil?' He will reply, 'I used to command you to do good, but I did not do it myself, and I used to forbid you from sins, but I used to do them myself.'"
