It is narrated from Hazrat Aqra’ bin Habis (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he called out to the Prophet (peace be upon him) from outside the chambers, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not reply to him. He then called out again, saying, "O Messenger of Allah," and said, "My praise is an adornment and my criticism is a cause of disgrace and shame." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "This is only for Allah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Sulaiman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there was a heated argument between two men, and one of them became so angry that even now, in my imagination, I can see his nose which had turned red due to anger. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), seeing his condition, said: "I know a word which, if this man afflicted with anger were to say, his anger would go away, and that word is «اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم.» ."

It is narrated from Hazrat Sulaiman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of the Battle of the Trench (upon returning): "Now we will advance upon them and fight, and they will never be able to advance against us again."

Rifa’ah bin Shaddad says that once I went to Mukhtar, he placed a cushion for me and said,“If my brother Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, had not gotten up from this, I would have placed this cushion for you.”At that time, I was standing by Mukhtar’s head. When it became clear to me that he was a liar, by Allah, I intended to draw my sword and cut off his neck. But then I remembered a hadith which Sulaiman bin Surad, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated to me, that I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say:“Whoever grants safety to a Muslim regarding his life first, then he should not kill him.”Therefore, I did not consider it appropriate to kill him.

Abu Malik says that I asked my father (Hazrat Tariq, may Allah be pleased with him), "Dear father! You have offered prayer behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them), and here in Kufa, you have also offered prayer behind Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) for almost five years. Did these personalities recite Qunoot?" He replied, "Son! This is a newly invented thing."

It is narrated from Hazrat Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that when someone came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! When I supplicate to my Lord, what should I say?" the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say, "Say this: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَارْزُقنِي» 'O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me guidance, and provide for me.'" After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) extended his thumb and folded the remaining four fingers, and said, "These things are comprehensive for both this world and the Hereafter."

It is narrated from Hazrat Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to a people that whoever acknowledges the oneness of Allah and rejects other false deities, his life and wealth become protected and worthy of respect, and his reckoning will be with Allah.
