وحدثنا محمد بن بشار ، حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن علي بن الحسين ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " كان يقبل وهو صائم ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) (peace be upon him) kissed (his wives) while fasting.

وحدثنا ابو الربيع الزهراني ، حدثنا ابو عوانة . ح وحدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي شيبة ، وإسحاق بن إبراهيم ، عن جرير ، كلاهما، عن منصور ، عن مسلم ، عن شتير بن شكل ، عن حفصة رضي الله عنها، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بمثله.

حدثني هارون بن سعيد الايلي ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو وهو ابن الحارث ، عن عبد ربه بن سعيد ، عن عبد الله بن كعب الحميري ، عن عمر بن ابي سلمة ، انه سال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ايقبل الصائم؟، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " سل هذه لام سلمة "، فاخبرته ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصنع ذلك، فقال: يا رسول الله قد غفر الله لك ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تاخر، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اما والله إني لاتقاكم لله، واخشاكم له ".
Umar b Abu Salama reported that he asked the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ): Should one observing fast kiss (his wife)? The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said to him: Ask her (Umm Salamah). She informed him that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) did that, where upon he said: Messenger of Allah, Allah pardoned thee all thy sins, the previous and the later ones. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم )) said: By Allah, I am the most God conscious among you and I fear Him most among you.

حدثني محمد بن حاتم ، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن ابن جريج . ح وحدثني محمد بن رافع واللفظ له، حدثنا عبد الرزاق بن همام ، اخبرنا ابن جريج ، اخبرني عبد الملك بن ابي بكر بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابي بكر ، قال: سمعت ابا هريرة رضي الله عنه يقص يقول في قصصه " من ادركه الفجر جنبا فلا يصم "، فذكرت ذلك لعبد الرحمن بن الحارث لابيه، فانكر ذلك، فانطلق عبد الرحمن وانطلقت معه، حتى دخلنا على عائشة ، وام سلمة رضي الله عنهما، فسالهما عبد الرحمن عن ذلك، قال: فكلتاهما قالت: " كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصبح جنبا من غير حلم ثم يصوم "، قال فانطلقنا حتى دخلنا على مروان، فذكر ذلك له عبد الرحمن، فقال مروان: " عزمت عليك إلا ما ذهبت إلى ابي هريرة، فرددت عليه ما يقول "، قال: فجئنا ابا هريرة، وابو بكر حاضر ذلك كله، قال: فذكر له عبد الرحمن، فقال ابو هريرة: " اهما قالتاه لك؟ " قال: " نعم " قال: " هما اعلم "، ثم رد ابو هريرة ما كان يقول في ذلك إلى الفضل بن العباس، فقال ابو هريرة: " سمعت ذلك من الفضل، ولم اسمعه من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم "، قال: فرجع ابو هريرة عما كان يقول في ذلك، قلت لعبد الملك: " اقالتا في رمضان؟ " قال: " كذلك كان يصبح جنبا من غير حلم، ثم يصوم ".
Abu Bakr (RA) (he is Abu Bakr (RA) bin Abdul Rahman bin Harith) reported: I heard Abu Hurairah (RA) narrating that he who is overtaken by dawn in a state of seminal emission should not observe fast. I made a mention of it to 'Abdul Rahman bin Harith (i. e. to his father) but he denied it. 'Abdul Rahman went and I also went along with him till we came to'A'isha and Umm Salamah (Allah be pleased with both of them) and Abdul Rahman asked them about it. Both of them said: (At times it so happened) that the Apostle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) woke up in the morning in a state of junub (but without seminal emission in a dream) and observed fast. He (the narrator) said: We then proceeded till we went to Marwan and Abdul Rahman made a mention of it to him. Upon this Marwan said: I stress upon you (with an oath) that you better go to Abu Hurairah (RA) and refer to him what is said about it. So we came to Abu Hurairah (RA) and Abu Bakr (RA) had been with us throughout and 'Abdul Rahman made a mention of it to him, whereupon Abu Hurairah (RA) said: Did they (the two wives of the Holy Prophet) tell you this? He replied: Yes. Upon this (Abu Hurairah (RA)) said: They have better knowledge. Abu Hurairah (RA) then attributed that what was said about it to Fadl bin 'Abbas and said: I heard it from Fadl and not from the Apostle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) . Abu Hurairah (RA) then retracted from what he used to say about it. Ibn Juraij (one of the narrators) reported: I asked 'Abdul Malik, if they (the two wives) said (made the statement) in regard to Ramadan, whereupon he said: It was so, and he (the Holy Prophet) (woke up in the) morning in a state of junub which was not due to the wet dream and then observed fast.

وحدثني حرملة بن يحيى ، اخبرنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عروة بن الزبير ، ان عائشة زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قالت: " قد كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يدركه الفجر في رمضان، وهو جنب من غير حلم، فيغتسل ويصوم ".
'A'isha, the wife of the Apostle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) , said: The dawn broke upon the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) during the Ramadan in a state of junub not because of sexual dream (but on account of intercourse) and he washed himself and observed fast.

حدثني هارون بن سعيد الايلي ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو وهو ابن الحارث ، عن عبد ربه ، عن عبد الله بن كعب الحميري ، ان ابا بكر حدثه، ان مروان ارسله إلى ام سلمة رضي الله عنها يسال عن الرجل يصبح جنبا ايصوم؟، فقالت " كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصبح جنبا من جماع، لا من حلم، ثم لا يفطر ولا يقضي ".
Abu Bakr (RA) reported that Marwan sent him to Umm Salamah to ask whether a person should observe fast who is in a state of junub and the dawn breaks upon him, whereupon she said that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) (was at times) junbi on account of intercourse and not due to sexual dream, and the dawn broke upon him, but he neither broke the fast nor recompensed.

حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى ، قال: قرات على مالك ، عن عبد ربه بن سعيد ، عن ابي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام ، عن عائشة ، وام سلمة زوجي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، انهما قالتا: " إن كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليصبح جنبا من جماع، غير احتلام في رمضان، ثم يصوم ".
Abu Bakr (RA) bin 'Abdul Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham reported on the authority of 'A'isha and Umm Salamah, the wives of the Apostle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ): The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) at times got up in the morning in a state of junub on account of having a sexual intercourse (with his wives during night) but not due to sexual dreams in the month of Ramadan, and would observe fast.

حدثنا يحيى بن ايوب ، وقتيبة ، وابن حجر ، قال ابن ايوب: حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر ، اخبرني عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن وهو ابن معمر بن حزم الانصاري ابو طوالة ، ان ابا يونس مولى عائشة اخبره، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، ان رجلا جاء إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يستفتيه، وهي تسمع من وراء الباب، فقال: يا رسول الله تدركني الصلاة وانا جنب افاصوم؟، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " وانا تدركني الصلاة وانا جنب فاصوم، فقال: لست مثلنا يا رسول الله قد غفر الله لك ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تاخر، فقال: والله إني لارجو ان اكون اخشاكم لله، واعلمكم بما اتقي ".
'A'isha reported that a person came to the Apottle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asking for a fatwa (religious verdict). She ('A'isha) had been overhearing it from behind the curtain. 'A'isha added that he (the person) had said: Messenger of Allah, (the time) of prayer overtakes me as I am in a state of junub; should I observe fast (in this state)? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: At times, the time of prayer overtakes me while I am in a state of junub, and I observe fast (in that very state), whereupon he said: Messenger of Allah, you are not like us Allah has pardoned all your sins, the previous ones and the later ones. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Allah, I hope I am the most God-fearirg of you, and possess the best knowledge among you of those (things) against which I should guard.

حدثنا احمد بن عثمان النوفلي ، حدثنا ابو عاصم ، حدثنا ابن جريج ، اخبرني محمد بن يوسف ، عن سليمان بن يسار ، انه سال ام سلمة رضي الله عنها عن الرجل يصبح جنبا ايصوم؟، قالت: " كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصبح جنبا، من غير احتلام ثم يصوم ".
Sulaiman bin Yasar reported that he asked Umm Salamah whether a person (who gets up) in the morning in a state of junub should observe fast. She said: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) (at times) got up in the morning in a state of junub, not because of sexual dreams (but on account of intercourse at night), and then observed fast.
