It is narrated from Sayyida Juwayriya bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me after the Fajr prayer while I was glorifying Allah Almighty, then he left for some work and returned near midday and said to me: Are you still sitting in the same state (engaged in remembrance)? I said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not teach you such words that if they are weighed against all that you have recited, they will outweigh them? These words are to be said three times: Subhan Allah ‘adada khalqihi, ... to ... Subhan Allah midaada kalimatihi. (See the next hadith for the translation of these words)

It is narrated from Sayyida Juwayriya (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Fajr prayer and then left for some task, and then returned to her. I said: O Messenger of Allah! I have been continuously remembering (Allah) after you left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After leaving you, I recited such words that if they were weighed against all that you have recited, they would outweigh them. Those words are: Subhan Allah ‘adada ma khalaqa Allah, Subhan Allah rida nafsihi, Subhan Allah zinata ‘arshihi, Subhan Allah midada kalimatihi. (Allah is pure as many times as the number of His creation, Allah is pure as much as pleases Himself, Allah is pure as heavy as His Throne, Allah is pure as the ink needed to write His words.)

Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When people remember the majesty of Allah by saying tasbih (Subhan Allah), tahmid (Alhamdulillah), takbir (Allahu Akbar), and tahlil (La ilaha illallah), then these (words of remembrance) surround the Throne with humility, their sound is like the buzzing of bees, and they mention their (reciter) to Allah. So do you not wish that you have a deed which keeps reminding (Allah) of you near the Throne?

Why have you come?" I said: "My age has become advanced and my bones have become weak, so I have come to you so that you may teach me something through which Allah Almighty may benefit me." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Qabeesah! Every stone, tree, and unbaked brick that you passed by sought forgiveness for you. O Qabeesah! When you have performed the Fajr prayer, say this phrase three times: 'Subhaanallaahil-‘Azeemi wa bihamdihi' (Glory be to Allah the Magnificent, and with His praise), you will be granted safety from blindness, leprosy, and paralysis. O Qabeesah! Make this supplication: 'Allahumma inni as’aluka mimma ‘indaka ... wa anzil ‘alayya min barakaatika.' (O Allah! Indeed, I ask You for what is with You, so bestow Your grace upon me, shower Your mercy upon me, and send down Your blessings upon me)."
