Sayyiduna Yazid bin Murthad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Just as grapes are not picked from thorny bushes, in the same way, the righteous are not made to descend at the stations of the wicked. Walk on whichever path you wish (but remember this much) that whichever path you choose, you will reach those who walk upon it."

Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I do not call any man good or evil until I see upon which deed his end occurs, because I heard a hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It was asked: Which hadith did you hear? I said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The heart of the son of Adam turns more frequently than a boiling pot."

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not be hasty in judging someone as good or bad by looking at his deeds; rather, see upon which deed his life ends, because (the reality is that) a person performs righteous deeds for a period of time, and if death comes to him while he is upon those deeds, he will be among the people of Paradise. But his state changes and he begins to do evil deeds (and death comes to him upon those). Similarly, a person performs evil deeds for a period of time, and if death comes to him while he is upon those deeds, he will enter the Fire. But it happens that his state changes and he begins to do righteous deeds (and death comes to him upon those). When Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He grants him the ability to do righteous deeds before death, then seizes his soul."

A man from the tribe of Banu Amir came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: May I come in? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to his slave girl: This man did not seek permission in a good manner, so go and tell him to say: «السلام عليكم» May I come in? The man himself heard this and, before the slave girl reached him, said: «السلام عليكم» May I come in? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“ «و عليك» , come in.”I went to you and asked: What have you brought? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I have brought goodness to you. I have come to you so that you worship Allah, the One, with no partner, and abandon the worship of idols like Lat and Uzza, and perform five prayers in the day and night, and fast in the month of (Ramadan) in the year, and perform Hajj to the House of Allah, and take wealth (zakat) from the rich and distribute it among the poor. Indeed, Allah has taught words full of goodness, and that is also knowledge which only Allah knows:“Indeed, with Allah alone is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, nor does anyone know in which land he will die. Remember, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.”(Surah Luqman: 34)

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When I was taken on the Night Journey (Isra) and I reached Makkah in the morning, I became anxious and realized that people would belie me, so you sat in seclusion, saddened." The enemy of Allah, Abu Jahl, passed by you, he came and sat by you and, mocking, said: Has something happened? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." He said: What happened? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tonight I was taken on the Night Journey." He said: Up to where? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Up to Bayt al-Maqdis." He said: Then in the morning you also reached us? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." Abu Jahl thought that he would not belie him just yet, lest he call his people and (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) refuse to narrate his account. So Abu Jahl said: If I call your people, will you narrate this conversation before them? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." He said: O assembly of Banu Ka'b bin Lu'ayy, come here. All the gatherings rushed towards him, they all came and sat with the two of them. Abu Jahl said: (O Muhammad!) Relate to them what you related to me. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tonight I was taken on the Night Journey." They said: Up to where? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Up to Bayt al-Maqdis." They said: Then in the morning you also reached here? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." (Upon hearing this) some began to clap and some, being affected (in their own estimation) by this lie, sat holding their heads. Then they said: Can you describe the signs of Masjid al-Aqsa? Some among them had traveled to that region and had seen Masjid al-Aqsa. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I began to describe its signs, but regarding some of the signs, I began to feel some confusion and uncertainty." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Masjid al-Aqsa (its likeness) was brought and placed near, even closer than the house of Iqal or Aqil, I saw it and described its signs, yet still I could not remember some of its signs. The people said: As for the matter of the signs, by Allah, you have described them correctly.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man went out towards the wilderness due to some need. His wife said: O Allah! Provide us sustenance so that we may knead flour and bake bread. When that man returned, what did he see? The tub was filled with flour, roasted meat (of an animal's) ribs was present in the oven, and the millstone was grinding grain. He said: Where did this sustenance come from? His wife said: This is sustenance granted by Allah, the Exalted. When he cleaned around the millstone (it stopped). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If he had left it as it was, it would have continued grinding flour until the Day of Resurrection."
