Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of creation prays for mercy for the one who teaches people goodness, even the fish in the sea."

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything, including the fish in the seas, seeks forgiveness for the one who teaches goodness and virtue."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Safwan bin Assal Muradi (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sitting in the mosque, reclining on his red cloak. I came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have come to you to seek knowledge. He (peace be upon him) said:“Welcome, O seeker of knowledge. Indeed, the angels surround the seeker of knowledge and shade him with their wings, and (due to their large number) they pile up upon each other until they reach the sky of the world, because they love what the seeker of knowledge is seeking.”Sayyiduna Safwan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! We remain on journeys between Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah, so give us a ruling regarding wiping over the leather socks (khuffs). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“For the traveler, (wiping is allowed) for three days, and for the resident, for one day and one night.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), he used to say: (We) would say "Marhaba" (welcome) to the will of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to advise us regarding you. By "you" he meant the students of hadith.

Yunus bin Maisarah bin Halbas narrates that he heard Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrating that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Goodness is a natural disposition and evil is artificial, and when Allah intends good for a person, He grants him understanding in the religion."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding in the religion."

It is narrated from Humaid, he says: I heard Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) delivering a sermon, he was saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion. I am only the distributor, the Giver is Allah. A group from my Ummah will always remain steadfast on the command of Allah; those who oppose them will not be able to harm them, until the command of Allah comes."

Mu'abad Jahani says that Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated fewer hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he would rarely leave out these words (or the narrator said:) he would mention them in the Friday sermons, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion. Wealth is sweet, lush, and attractive; whoever acquires it rightfully, it will be blessed for him. And avoid praising one another, for doing so is akin to slaughtering (i.e., it destroys)."

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The one who guides to goodness is like the one who does it (in reward).”This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Badri, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud, Sayyiduna Suhail bin Sa’d, Sayyiduna Buraidah bin Husaib, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them all).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day we were sitting when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Glad tidings are for the strangers (ghuraba)." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are meant by the strangers? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They are the righteous people who are fewer in number compared to the evil ones, and those who disobey them are more than those who obey them."
