Sayyiduna Talhah bin Musarrif (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the later times, I fear three things for my Ummah the most: believing in the stars, denying destiny, and the oppression of the ruler."

‘Amir bin Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The greatest offender among the Muslims is the one who asked about something which was not forbidden, but due to his persistent questioning, it was declared forbidden for the people because of his question.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever lies about me (i.e., attributes a false statement to me), a house in the Fire will be built for him."

Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Refrain from narrating too many ahadith from me. Whoever attributes something to me should speak the truth and what is right, because whoever attributes to me something which I did not say, then let him prepare his abode in the Hellfire."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My Ummah will come to me at the Hawd (the Pond). I will drive away some people from it just as a man drives away the camels of others from his own camels." The Companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Will you recognize us?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, you will have a sign that no one else will have. You will come to me with your foreheads, hands, and feet shining due to the effects of ablution. But a group among you will be prevented from reaching me; they will not be able to reach me. I will say: 'O my Lord! These are my companions.' An angel will reply to me: 'Do you know what they innovated after you (in the religion)?'"

The wife of the Messenger, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates from her slave Abdullah bin Rafi’, who says: She said,“I used to hear people mentioning the Hawd (the Prophet’s Pond), but I had not directly heard any hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on this subject. One day, my slave-girl was combing my hair, and I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: ‘O people!’ I said to the slave-girl: Move back. She said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) has called the men, not the women. I said: (He has called the people and) I am one of them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘I will precede you to the Hawd. Keep obeying me! Lest you come to me there and are driven away like a stray camel (kept away from me). I will ask: Why is this happening? I will be told in reply: You do not know what innovations they introduced after you. (Upon hearing this) I will say: Destruction (be upon them).’”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah, the Exalted, has withheld repentance from every innovator (in religion)."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The affair of this Ummah will remain united, harmonious, (in unity and agreement), as long as they do not discuss (the issues of) children and destiny."

Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the Children of Israel were destroyed, they began storytelling."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is eagerness and desire for Islam, and after every desire there comes eventually laziness and decrease. (See) If the one who desires good deeds walks on the right path and adopts moderation, then have hope regarding him (that he will be an accepted servant of Allah Almighty), and if (he is so excessive in worship that) people point towards him with their fingers, then do not have hope regarding him (that he will be a righteous person)."
