It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prayer consists of three parts: one third is purification, one third is bowing (ruku‘), and one third is prostration (sujood). And whoever's prayer is rejected, the rest of his deeds will also be rejected."

-" كان يبعث إلى المطاهر، فيؤتى بالماء، فيشربه يرجو بركة ايدي المسلمين".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Do you prefer to perform ablution from a covered new jug, or from vessels like a lota?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, rather I prefer to perform ablution from common vessels like a lota. Indeed, the religion of Allah is easy. The religion of Islam consists of a gentle and easygoing Shariah." He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send for water containers, so water would be brought, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would drink from it and hope for the blessing of the Muslims' hands.

-" توضا يا ابا جبير! لا تبدا بفيك، فإن الكافر يبدا بفيه".
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Jubair bin Nufair narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Abu Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with his daughter, whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had married. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered water for ablution for them and said: "Abu Jubair! Perform ablution." Abu Jubair started (the ablution) from the mouth. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Do not start from the mouth, because the disbeliever starts from the mouth." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called for water for ablution (and performed ablution in this order): He washed his hands until he cleaned them, rinsed his mouth three times and put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed his right arm up to the elbow three times and then the left arm three times, then wiped his head and washed both feet.
