Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A Bedouin brought a roasted rabbit along with its gravy to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and placed it before him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) paused and did not eat, and the noble Companions also paused and did not eat, and the Bedouin himself also paused. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Why are you not eating? He said: I fast three days every month. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If you are to fast, then fast on the bright days (i.e., the days of the full moon)." By this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) meant the Ayyam al-Beedh (the white days).

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on six days in the year: the three days of Tashreeq, the day of Eid al-Fitr, the day of Eid al-Adha, and specifically fasting on Friday.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tahajjud, he would say salam after every two rak'ahs.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to perform the ‘Isha prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque and after that, he would only pray one rak‘ah of Witr. He was asked:“Abu Ishaq! You only pray one rak‘ah of Witr and do not perform any more prayers (what is the reason)?”He replied:“Yes, I myself heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘That servant is cautious (and prudent) who performs Witr before sleeping.’”

Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Witr prayer is at night."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted has placed blessing in Suhoor and in measurement."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever intends to fast should partake in suhoor with something."

Sayyiduna Khalid bin Ma'dan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come to the blessed meal." By this, he meant the pre-dawn meal (suhoor).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Partake of the pre-dawn meal (suhoor), for indeed it is a blessed meal.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who partake in the pre-dawn meal (suhoor)."
