It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you are traveling through green pastures, give the animals their due (i.e., let them graze), and when you are passing through drought-stricken land, move quickly, and travel at night, for the distance of the land becomes shorter at night. When you camp somewhere, do not set up camp in the middle of the road, because (such places at night) are the resting places of all kinds of animals."

-" اعندكم ما يغنيكم؟ قال: لا. قال: فكلوها (يعني الناقة) وكانت قد ماتت".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: At the place of Harrah, a man had a she-camel. He gave it to another man, and now it had become sick. When it was about to die, his wife said to him: (It is better that) you slaughter it so that all of us (can at least) eat its meat. But he refused to do so (and the she-camel died). He went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and mentioned the whole matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him:“Do you have anything that suffices you?”He said: No. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Then eat from it (the dead she-camel).”At that time, the she-camel had died. He said: So we ate its fat and meat for twenty days. Then we met its first owner and he asked: Why did you not slaughter it? I said: I was just shy of you.

-" امرت الرسل قبلي الا تاكل إلا طيبا ولا تعمل إلا صالحا".
Sayyidah Umm Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the sister of Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), sent a bowl of milk to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of iftar due to the long day and intense heat. However, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned the messenger and said, "(Go and ask) where was this milk obtained from?" She replied that it was the milk of her own goat. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) again sent the messenger back, saying, "(Go and ask) where was that goat obtained from?" She said, "I bought it in exchange for my own wealth." Then, after such thorough inquiry, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it. The next day, Umm Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with her) herself came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Because of the long day and intense heat, I felt compassion for you and sent a bowl of milk (yesterday), but you returned my messenger to me to investigate (why is that)?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The messengers before me were commanded to eat only tayyib (i.e., lawful) things and to do only righteous deeds."
