The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of dates is the Barni; it drives away disease and there is no disease in it." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah bin Husaib, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, Sayyiduna Mazeedah, who is the grandfather of Hud bin Abdullah, Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, and some individuals from the delegation of Abdul Qais (may Allah be pleased with them).

Sayyiduna Dhirar bin Azwar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Some of my family members sent me to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with several or one milch she-camel. I brought it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He instructed me to milk them, then said: "Leave (some) milk in the udders that will be a cause for more milk (to come)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To sacrifice a grey-colored animal is more beloved to Allah Almighty than to sacrifice two black-colored animals."

Alqamah Quraishi says: We entered the house of the wife of the Messenger, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), where Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was also present. When we mentioned performing ablution after eating something cooked on fire, Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) eating something cooked on fire, then he would perform prayer without (renewing) ablution. Someone said: O Ibn Abbas! Did you yourself see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this? He pointed to his eyes with his hand and said: My own eyes have seen it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The worst food is the food of a wedding feast (walimah), from which the (poor) person who wishes to eat is prevented, and the (rich) person who refuses to eat is invited. (But) whoever does not accept the invitation has disobeyed Allah the Exalted and His Messenger."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Cover the vessels and tie the mouths of the water-skins, for there is a night in the year in which a plague descends, and it enters any vessel that is not covered and any water-skin that is not tied."

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A group from the Children of Israel was lost, and nothing was known about what happened to them. And I think they were transformed (metamorphosed) into mice, because you see that when camel milk is placed before a mouse, it does not drink it, but when goat milk is placed before it, it drinks it."

Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I cooked khazirah (a dish made from minced meat and flour) and brought it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting between me and Sawdah. I said to Sawdah:“You also eat.”She refused to eat. I said:“You will definitely eat this, or I will smear your face with it.”She still refused. So I put my hand in the khazirah and smeared it on her face. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed, and putting his thigh out for her, said to Sawdah:“You also smear it on her face.”So she smeared my face as well, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed. Meanwhile, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by and called out:“O Abdullah! O Abdullah!”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) thought that he was about to enter, so he said to them:“Stand up and wash your faces.”By this, he meant Aisha and Sawdah. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I was always afraid of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), because even the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to be mindful of his awe.

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Cool and sweet drinks were the most beloved to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked sweet and cold things.
