It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out with three hundred and fifteen (military Companions) and made this supplication: "O Allah! They are barefoot, so provide them with mounts. O Allah! They are unclothed, so clothe them. O Allah! They are hungry, so satisfy their hunger." So Allah Almighty granted victory on the day of Badr, and when they returned, every man returned with one or two camels, they also received clothing, and they were satisfied.

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A young man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Give me permission to commit adultery. The people turned towards him, rebuked him, and said: Hey, stop! Hey, stop! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Come closer." He came near to him and sat down. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: "Would you like this for your mother?" He said: May Allah sacrifice me for you, no, by Allah! (No). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "People also do not like this (filth) for their mothers. (Well, tell me) would you like it for your daughter?" He said: O Messenger of Allah! May I be sacrificed for you, no, by Allah! (No). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Similarly, people dislike this thing for their daughters. (Well, tell me) would you like it for your sister?" He said: May Allah sacrifice me for you, no, by Allah! (No). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "People also dislike this thing for their sisters. (Well, tell me) would you like it for your paternal aunt?" He said: No, by Allah! May I be sacrificed for you. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Just as you dislike it for your paternal aunts, people also dislike it for their paternal aunts. (Well, tell me) would you like it for your maternal aunt?" He said: May I be sacrificed for you, no, by Allah! (No). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "People also dislike this thing for their maternal aunts." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed his hand on him and prayed: "O Allah! Forgive his sin and protect his private parts." After that, the young man would not turn towards anything (of this sort).

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Salma (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a servant of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wow! Wow!" Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured five with his fingers and said: (These remembrances) how heavy they will be in the scale: «سبحان الله» ‏‏‏‏, «الحمد لله» , «لا اله الا الله، الله اكبر» (and the fifth thing) is a righteous son of someone who passes away, and his father, hoping for reward from Allah Almighty, remains patient."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying near the House of Allah, while Abu Jahl and his companions were sitting there, and a day before, some she-camels had been slaughtered. Abu Jahl (taking advantage of the situation) said: Who will bring the entrails of the slaughtered camels of Banu so-and-so and place them on Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when he prostrates? (In response) the most wretched among them got up, brought the entrails, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrated, he placed them on him. (Seeing this) they started laughing excessively and falling over each other. I was standing and watching everything. I said: If I had the power, I would have removed it from the back of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained in prostration and did not raise his head. Someone went and informed Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). She, who was still a young girl, came, removed them, then turned towards them and scolded them. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished his prayer, he loudly supplicated against them. Whenever he supplicated, he would do so three times, and likewise, when he asked (Allah Almighty), he would do so three times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O Allah! Seize the Quraysh.”(He supplicated this three times.) When they heard the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), their laughter stopped and they became afraid. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O Allah! Seize Abu Jahl bin Hisham, Utbah bin Rabi’ah, Shaybah bin Rabi’ah, Walid bin ‘Uqbah, Umayyah bin Khalaf, and ‘Uqbah bin Amir.”He also mentioned the name of a seventh man, which I do not remember. By the One Who sent Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with the truth! I saw all of them lying dead on the day of Badr, then they were dragged and thrown into the well of Badr.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abu al-As Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "At midnight, the heavens are opened and a caller announces: Is there anyone who calls so that his supplication may be accepted? Is there anyone who asks so that he may be given? And is there anyone afflicted so that his affliction may be removed? There is no Muslim who supplicates and Allah Almighty does not accept his supplication, except a woman who earns through her private parts (i.e., a prostitute) and a tax collector (the supplications of these two are not accepted)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse from Surah Ibrahim: «رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًا مِنَ النَّاسِ فَمَنْ تَبِعَنِي فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي» (14-Ibrahim:36) "O my Lord! Indeed, they have led many among mankind astray. So whoever follows me, he is of me." And Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him) said: «إِنْ تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ» (5-Al-Ma'idah:118) "(O Allah!) If You punish them, they are Your servants, and if You forgive them, indeed You are the Mighty, the Wise." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands and said: "O Allah! My Ummah, my Ummah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to weep. (At that moment) Allah the Exalted said: O Jibreel, go to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and ask him, though your Lord knows best, why he is weeping? So he (Jibreel) asked him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed him of everything, though He (Allah) knew best. So Allah the Exalted said: O Jibreel! Go to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and say: We will please you concerning your Ummah and We will not cause you any distress.
