It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Ayub (peace be upon him) was bathing naked, when suddenly golden locusts began to fall upon him. He started gathering them in his garment. Allah, the Exalted, called out to him: 'O Ayub! Did I not make you free from need of these things which you see?' He replied: 'Yes, by Your honor! (You have made me free from need), but I can never be free from need of Your blessings.'"

Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) says: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), two men stated their lineage. One said: "I am so-and-so, son of so-and-so. May your mother not remain, who are you?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Two men in the time of Musa (peace be upon him) stated their lineage. One said: 'I am so-and-so, son of so-and-so...' (he mentioned nine ancestors), 'May your mother not remain, who are you?' The other said: 'I am so-and-so, son of so-and-so, son of Islam.' Allah, the Exalted, revealed to Musa (peace be upon him) to say to those two men who stated their lineage: 'You, who mentioned your lineage up to nine ancestors, your nine ancestors are in Hell and you are the tenth among them. And you, who mentioned two ancestors, your two ancestors are in Paradise and you are the third, who will enter Paradise.'"

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was healthy, he used to say: "No prophet is given death until he is shown his place in Paradise and then given the choice (between life and death)." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill and his head was on my thigh, he lost consciousness, then regained it, and began to gaze fixedly at the ceiling and started saying: "O Allah! Take me to the Highest Companion." At that moment, I realized that he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not prefer us (over the choice of life and death), and I recognized that now he (peace and blessings be upon him) was fulfilling the very hadith he used to narrate to us in his healthy state. The last words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were: "O Allah! Take me to the Highest Companion."

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Which creation's faith is the most astonishing and admirable?" The companions said: "The angels'." He (peace be upon him) said: "What is there for the angels that they would not believe, (for all realities are before them)." They said: "Then it must be the prophets." He (peace be upon him) said: "Revelation is sent to the prophets (because of which everything becomes clear to them), so why would they not believe?" They said: "Then it must be the companions." He (peace be upon him) said: "The companions are with the prophets, (for them nothing remains ambiguous, so) what difficulty do they have in accepting faith? In reality, the most astonishing people in terms of faith are those who will come after you; for them, revelation will be in the form of a book, but they will believe in it and follow it. These are the people whose faith is truly astonishing, (that is, they will embrace faith without seeing any miracle or sign)."

Tawoos says that Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: ‘Isa (peace be upon him) learned his argument (from Allah Almighty), and Allah Almighty taught him, which is mentioned in this verse: «وَإِذْ قَالَ اللَّـهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنْتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَـهَيْنِ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّـهِ» “And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, ‘O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?’”(5: Al-Ma’idah: 116) Then he stopped at the rest of the verse. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Allah Almighty taught (‘Isa, peace be upon him) this answer: «سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِحَقٍّ» ‘Glory be to You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right.’”(5: Al-Ma’idah: 116)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever wants to be pleased by seeing the humility of ‘Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, should look at (my companion) Abu Dharr."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Prophets are paternal brothers (that is, their father is one and) their mothers are different, and their religion is one. And I am the closest of all people to ‘Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) because there is no prophet between me and him, and he will descend (among my Ummah). When you see him, recognize him: he is of medium height, his complexion is reddish-white, he will be dressed in two cotton garments, and when he descends, it will appear as if drops of water are falling from his head, though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for Islam, break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizyah (tax), and Allah, the Exalted, will destroy all (false) religions during his time except Islam, and He will also destroy the Messiah Dajjal. And (during his time) there will be such peace on earth that snakes will graze with camels, leopards with cows, and wolves with sheep, and children will play with snakes and they will not harm them. ‘Isa (peace be upon him) will remain on earth for forty years, then he will pass away, and the Muslims will offer his funeral prayer."

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is blessing in the forelocks of horses."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Bayt al-Ma'mur is in the seventh heaven. Every day, a thousand angels enter it, and their turn does not come again until the Day of Resurrection."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Jews came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Abul Qasim! We want to ask you about some things; if you give (correct) answers, we will follow you, affirm you, and believe in you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took from them the covenant and pledge that Israel (Yaqub, peace be upon him) had taken for himself. They said: Whatever we say, Allah Almighty is a witness and guardian over it. (The series of questions begins.) They said: Tell us about the sign of a Prophet. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The eyes of a Prophet sleep, but his heart does not sleep." They said: How are males and females produced from a woman's womb? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The (male and female) fluids mix; if the woman's fluid prevails over the man's fluid, a female is born, and if the man's fluid prevails over the woman's, a male is born." They said: Tell us about "Ra’d" (the thunder or rumbling of clouds), what is it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ra’d is the name of an angel; the affairs of the clouds are entrusted to him. In his hands is a sword (or whip) of fire, with which he drives the clouds here and there, and when he moves the clouds (by scolding or commanding them in a specific manner), then the sound is produced which (we) hear, until he brings them to the place he is commanded to."
