Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
Virtue of one who avoids doubtful matters for religion
Narrated Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The lawful is clear and the unlawful is (also) clear, and between them are doubtful matters which many people do not know. So whoever avoids the doubtful matters has protected his religion and his honor, and whoever falls into doubtful matters is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near a sanctuary; it is likely that he will soon enter it. Beware! Every king has a sanctuary, and beware! The sanctuary of Allah on His earth is His prohibited things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Beware! That piece is the heart."
Paying one-fifth of war booty is faith
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
When the people of ‘Abdul Qais (the tribe of ‘Abdul Qais) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said to them:“Which people are you, or (he asked) which delegation are you?”They replied,“(We are) from the family of Rabi‘ah.”He said,“Welcome to the people or the delegation! You will neither be disgraced nor regretful.”Then they said,“O Messenger of Allah! We cannot come to you except in the sacred months, for between us and you is the tribe of Mudar (who are disbelievers), and we fear them. So, please tell us something clear (a summary of rulings) that we may inform those we left behind, and by which we may enter Paradise.”They also asked him about drinks (which are lawful and which are unlawful). So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded them with four things and forbade them from four things.
(1) He commanded them to believe in Allah alone, and said:“Do you know what it means to believe in Allah alone?”They replied,“Allah and His Messenger know best.”He said:“It is to testify that there is no god (worthy of worship) except Allah, and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah; to establish prayer; to give zakat; to fast in Ramadan; and to give one-fifth of the war booty (to the treasury).”
And he forbade them from four things (i.e., from drinking from four types of vessels):
(1) From green glazed jars,
(2) From gourds,
(3) From hollowed-out wooden vessels,
(4) From oil jars.
And sometimes (Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, would say)“muqayyar”instead of“muzaffat.”
And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Remember these things and convey them to those you left behind.”

Deeds depend on intentions
Narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Actions (are judged) according to intentions, and this hadith has already been mentioned (see the Book: The Beginning of the Revelation to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)... Chapter: How the Revelation Began to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)...), and (here) there is an addition that (the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said): And for every person is what he intended. Therefore, whoever's migration is for Allah and His Messenger, then (with Allah) his migration is for that (purpose) for which he migrated.
`Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: When a man spends on his family considering it as a rewardable act, it is counted as charity for him.
Religion is sincere advice
`Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on establishing prayer, giving zakat, and wishing well for every Muslim.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): I presented myself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said that I wish to pledge allegiance to you on Islam. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stipulated for me to remain steadfast on Islam and to wish well for every Muslim. Thus, I pledged allegiance to him on this.
