Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
Woman washing blood from her father’s face is permissible
Narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that people asked him with what was the wound of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) treated. He replied that now there is no one left who knows more about it than me. (He then explained that) Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to bring water in his shield, and Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) used to wash the blood from the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then a mat was brought and burnt, and (the ashes) were filled into the wound of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Using the tooth-stick (miswak) is Sunnah
Narrated Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him): I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and saw that he was using a miswak in his hand and cleaning his teeth, and he was saying "Aa, Aa," and the miswak was in his mouth as if he was about to vomit.
Narrated Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would get up at night, he would rub (clean) his mouth (teeth) with a miswak.
Giving miswak to an elder is Sunnah
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw myself in a dream cleaning my teeth with a miswak. Then two persons came to me, one of whom was older than the other. I gave the miswak to the younger of them, but I was told, 'Give it to the older one.' So I gave the miswak to the older of them."
Virtue of sleeping in a state of ablution
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me:“When you go to your bed, perform ablution as you do for prayer. Then lie down on your right side and then say: ‘O Allah! I have submitted my face to You, and entrusted my affairs to You, and I have taken You as my Protector and Refuge, hoping for You and fearing You. There is no refuge and no escape from You except with You. O Allah! I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.’ If you die that night, you will die upon faith. And say these words after you have said whatever else you wish to say (i.e., do not say anything after this).”Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I repeated these words before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and when I reached ‘I believe in Your Book which You have revealed,’ I said, ‘and Your Messenger.’ He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘No, but say: and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.’
