مختصر صحيح بخاري
Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
His name as the Seal of the Prophets.
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "My example and the example of the other prophets is like that of a person who built a house and made it complete and beautiful, except for the place of one brick. People began to go around the house and were amazed, saying: 'If only this brick were placed, how excellent and complete this house would be.'"
In another narration from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), it is transmitted in addition that .... but in one corner, a space equal to one brick was left. And at the end, he said: "I am that brick, and I am the Seal of the Prophets."
Description of the Prophet’s death.
Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her): "At the time of his death, the age of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sixty-three years."
(Chapter)
Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) says that at that time his age was ninety-four (94) years, but he was still quite strong, and I know that my senses, ears, and eyes all still function—this is the blessing of the supplication of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). My maternal aunt took me to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is my nephew, he is ill, please supplicate for him." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for me.
Description of the Prophet’s appearance and character.
Narrated Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him): Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) led the Asr prayer, then went on foot (on the way) and saw Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), who was playing with the children. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) lifted him onto his shoulder and said, "May my father be sacrificed for you, you resemble the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and do not resemble Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was laughing upon hearing this.
Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) resembled Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). So it was said to him (Abu Juhaifah), "Describe the appearance of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." He said: He (peace be upon him) was fair-skinned, his hair was partly white and partly black, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered us to be given thirteen camels, but we had not yet taken those camels when he (the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away.
It was said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr, may Allah be pleased with him, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), "Did you see the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he was old?" He replied, "There were some white hairs between his lower lip and his chin."
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was of medium stature, neither very tall nor very short. His complexion was fair with a reddish tinge, not completely white (like lime), nor very wheatish (yellowish), but rather reddish-white. His hair was neither very curly nor completely straight. Revelation descended upon him at the age of forty. He (peace be upon him) stayed in Makkah for ten years. Revelation (the Qur'an) continued to descend, and he stayed in Madinah for ten years. At the time of his passing, there were not even twenty white hairs in his blessed head and beard. (Note: The Arabs sometimes count in tens and leave out the units, although the Prophet (peace be upon him) stayed in Makkah for thirteen years after prophethood.)
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) in another narration says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was neither very tall nor short, neither completely white in complexion nor completely wheatish yellow, neither had very curly hair nor completely straight hair. Allah Almighty bestowed Prophethood (revelation of the Qur'an) upon him at the end of his fortieth year of blessed age... and the rest of the hadith is narrated (see the previous hadith:).
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the most handsome, pleasant-faced, beautiful, and the best in character among all people. In stature, he was neither very tall nor very short.
