On maintaining and severing family ties.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah the Exalted created the creation, and when He finished making them, the tie of kinship stood up and said, "This is the place of one who seeks refuge from being cut off." (That is, by the tongue of its state, or an angel spoke on its behalf, and this is an interpretation; and the apparent meaning is also correct that the tie of kinship itself spoke, and in this realm, there is nothing preventing the tie of kinship from having a tongue.) So Allah the Exalted said, "Yes. Are you not pleased that I will join with the one who joins you, and I will cut off from the one who cuts you off?" The tie of kinship said, "I am pleased with that." So Allah the Exalted said, "Then you have that rank." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If you wish, recite this verse: Allah the Exalted says to the hypocrites, "If you gain authority, will you spread corruption in the land and sever the ties of kinship? Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed, so He made them deaf and blinded their eyes. Do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon their hearts?" (Muhammad: 22-24).

Reward for one who provides for widows and the poor.
`Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever earns and works for widows or for the poor, for him is a rank like that of one who fights in the way of Allah, and I think he (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: like the one who stands for prayer and does not tire, and like the fasting person who does not break his fast.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: A man set out to visit his brother in another village, so Allah Almighty appointed an angel on his way. When he reached there, the angel asked him, "Where are you going?" He replied, "I have a brother in that village; I am going to see him." The angel asked, "Is there any favor of his upon you which you are going to repay?" He replied, "No, he has no favor upon me; I only wish to see him for the sake of Allah." So the angel said, "Then I am a messenger from Allah, and Allah loves you as you love your brother for His (Allah's) sake."

A person will be with whom he loves (on the Day of Judgment).

When will the Hour (Day of Judgment) come?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What have you prepared for the Hour?" He replied, "The love of Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You will be with those whom you love." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "After embracing Islam, we were never as happy about anything as we were upon hearing this hadith." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I love Allah, His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and I hope that I will be with them on the Day of Judgment, even though I have not done deeds like theirs."

When Allah loves a servant, He makes others love him too.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, when Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibreel (peace be upon him) and says:“I love so-and-so, so you also love him.”Then Jibreel (peace be upon him) loves him, and then he announces in the heavens:“Allah loves so-and-so, so you all love him.”Then the inhabitants of the heavens love him. After that, acceptance is placed for him in the hearts of the people on earth. And when Allah is displeased with a person, He calls Jibreel (peace be upon him) and says:“I dislike so-and-so, so you also dislike him.”Then Jibreel (peace be upon him) dislikes him, and then he announces among the inhabitants of the heavens:“Allah dislikes so-and-so, so you all dislike him.”So they also dislike him, and then enmity for him is established among the people on earth (meaning that even the righteous servants or angels of Allah on earth remain his enemies).

Souls are like gathered troops.
`Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates in a marfu‘ form that people are like mines of gold and silver. Those who were good in the time of ignorance are good in Islam as well, when they gain understanding of the religion. And souls are like gathered troops. Those among them who recognized each other are friends in this world as well, and those who were apart there, remain apart here too.
