Chapter: One Who Shuts the Door Against His Neighbor
Hadith Number: 111
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a time or era among the people when the person most deserving of dirhams and dinars was considered to be one's Muslim brother. Then a time has now come when dirhams and dinars have become more beloved than a Muslim brother. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "How many neighbors there will be who, on the Day of Resurrection, will cling to their neighbors and say: O my Lord! He closed his door on me and deprived me of his good conduct."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that my beloved friend (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) advised me regarding three things:“Listen to and obey (the leader), even if he is a slave with mutilated ears. (And he said:) When you make broth, add more water to it, then look at the (poor) houses of your neighbors and send some of that broth to them according to custom. And perform the prayer at its appointed time. And if you (having prayed at home or elsewhere) come to the mosque and find that the Imam has already performed the prayer, then your (prayer already performed) is preserved for you; otherwise (if he is still praying, then pray with him) your (second) prayer will be considered voluntary (nafl).”

Chapter: Not Harming the Neighbor
Hadith Number: 119
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It was said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Such-and-such woman stands (in prayer) at night and fasts during the day and does other good deeds and gives charity, but she harms her neighbors with her tongue. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said (upon hearing this): "There is no good in her, she is among the people of Hell." They (the Companions) said: And such-and-such woman (only) performs the obligatory prayers and gives a few pieces of cheese in charity, but she does not harm anyone? Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "She is among the women of Paradise."

It is narrated from ‘Ammarah bin Ghurab that one of his paternal aunts told him that she asked Umm al-Mu’minin, Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): If a woman's husband desires her, that is, calls her for intercourse, and she refuses him, either out of anger or because she does not feel like it, will she be sinful in this case? She replied: Yes! The husband has a right over you that if he calls you for intimacy, do not refuse him, even if you are on the saddle of a camel. The narrator says: I asked her: If any of us is menstruating, and she and her husband share the same bed and blanket, what should she do in this case? She replied: She should tie her lower garment tightly and lie down with her husband; it is permissible for him to enjoy her from above the lower garment. I will tell you what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do. One night it was my turn. I ground some barley and made a cake. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came, closed the door, and went to the mosque. When he intended to sleep, he would close the door, tie the strap of the water-skin, turn over the bowl, and extinguish the lamp. I kept waiting for his return so that I could serve him the cake, but he did not return soon, and I fell asleep. When he felt cold, he came to me and woke me up, then said: "Warm me, warm me." I said: I am menstruating. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Just open your thigh a little." So I opened my thigh for him. He placed his cheek and head on my thigh until he became warm. Meanwhile, a neighbor's goat kid entered, approached the cake, grabbed it, and left. Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I became very worried. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also woke up, so I quickly went to the door (to catch the cake from the goat kid). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Take whatever is left of your cake, and do not harm the neighbor because of the goat."
