It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that after spending the night at Arafat, when we left the valley of Muzdalifah in the morning, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people: "Adopt calmness and tranquility." At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was restraining his mount from moving fast, until he descended from the valley of Muhassir, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Mina, he said: "Pick up pebbles like small stones so that the ritual of Rami al-Jamarat can be performed," and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to gesture with his hand in the manner a person does when throwing pebbles.
