Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) — who was riding behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the return from Arafah — says that people were making their mounts run fast, so at the command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), a caller announced: "There is no virtue in making horses and camels run fast, so adopt calmness and tranquility."

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and Lady Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) state that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), due to intimacy with his family, would become in need of a ritual bath by choice. He (peace be upon him) would perform the bath before the Fajr prayer and would fast that day. The narrator says that I mentioned this hadith to Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said, "I do not know about this, but Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated this to me."

Sayyiduna Fadl (may Allah be pleased with him) says that on the return from Muzdalifah to Mina, I was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). While he (peace be upon him) was riding, a Bedouin came, carrying his beautiful daughter behind him. He became engaged in conversation with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and I began to look at the girl. The Prophet (peace be upon him) noticed me and turned my face away from her. I started looking at her again, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) again turned my face away. This happened three times, but I did not stop, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) continued reciting the Talbiyah until he reached the stoning of Jamrat al-Aqabah.
