مسنَد عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ عمَرَ بنِ الخَطَّابِ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنهمَا
Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 5851
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن مسلم ، حدثنا عبد الله بن دينار ، عن عبد الله بن عمر ، قال: اتخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خاتما من ذهب، فاتخذ الناس خواتمهم من ذهب، فقام يوما، فقال:" إني كنت البس هذا الخاتم"، ثم نبذه، فنبذ الناس خواتيمهم.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had a ring made of gold. People also had rings made of gold. One day the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up and said: "I used to wear this ring," then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, threw it away, and the people also threw away their rings.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح.
Hadith Number: 5852
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن مسلم ، حدثنا عبد الله بن دينار ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن بلالا ينادي بليل، فكلوا واشربوا حتى ينادي ابن ام مكتوم".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bilal gives the call to prayer during the night, so keep eating and drinking until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 7248.
Hadith Number: 5853
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا شعبة ، قال: عبد الله بن دينار اخبرني، قال: سمعت ابن عمر , يقول:" وقت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لاهل المدينة: ذا الحليفة، ولاهل نجد: قرنا، ولاهل الشام: الجحفة، وزعموا انه وقت لاهل اليمن: يلملم".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulaifa as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfa for the people of Sham, and Qarn for the people of Najd, and people say that Yalamlam was fixed as the miqat for the people of Yemen.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 1525، م: 1182.
Hadith Number: 5854
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن عبد الله بن دينار ، عن ابن عمر , ان رجلا من قريش , قال لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إني اشتري البيع فاخدع، فقال:" إذا كان ذاك فقل: لا خلابة".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a man from the Quraysh whom people used to deceive in trade. He mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should say: 'There is no deception in this transaction.'"

Hadith Number: 5855
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، اخبرني عاصم بن المنذر ، قال: كنا في بستان لنا , او لعبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عمر , نرمي، فحضرت الصلاة، فقام عبيد الله إلى مقرى البستان فيه جلد بعير، فاخذ يتوضا فيه، فقلت: اتتوضا فيه وفيه هذا الجلد؟ فقال: حدثني ابي , ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" إذا كان الماء قلتين او ثلاثا، فإنه لا ينجس".
Asim bin Mundhir says that once we were practicing archery in our or Ubaidullah bin Abdullah’s garden when the time for prayer came. Ubaidullah stood up and went to the pond in the garden, where a camel’s skin was lying in the water. He began to perform ablution with that water. I said to him,“Are you performing ablution with this water while this skin is also lying in it?”He replied,“My father told me this hadith: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘When water is two or three pitchers full, it does not become impure.’”
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد جيد دون قوله: أو ثلاثا.

(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، اخبرنا علي بن زيد ، عن يحيى بن يعمر , قلت: لابن عمر , إن عندنا رجالا يزعمون ان الامر بايديهم، فإن شاءوا عملوا، وإن شاءوا لم يعملوا! فقال: اخبرهم اني منهم بريء، وانهم مني برآء، ثم قال: جاء جبريل صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:" يا محمد , ما الإسلام؟ فقال: تعبد الله لا تشرك به شيئا، وتقيم الصلاة، وتؤتي الزكاة، وتصوم رمضان، وتحج البيت، قال: فإذا فعلت ذلك، فانا مسلم؟ قال: نعم، قال: صدقت، قال: فما الإحسان؟ قال: تخشى الله تعالى كانك تراه، فإن لا تك تراه، فإنه يراك، قال: فإذا فعلت ذلك، فانا محسن، قال: نعم، قال: صدقت، قال: فما الإيمان؟ قال: تؤمن بالله، وملائكته، وكتبه، ورسله، والبعث من بعد الموت والجنة، والنار، والقدر كله، قال: فإذا فعلت ذلك، فانا مؤمن؟ قال: نعم، قال: صدقت".

Yahya bin Ya’mar says that once we met Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). I said to him that there are some people among us who say that matters are in their own hands; if they wish, they act, and if they wish, they do not act. Upon hearing this, he said: When you return to those people, tell them that I am free from them and they are free from me. After saying this, he narrated this tradition: Once Sayyiduna Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to the court of Prophethood and said: O Muhammad! What is“Islam”? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Worship Allah and do not associate anyone with Him, and establish prayer, pay zakat, fast in Ramadan, and perform Hajj of the House of Allah.”He said: If I do these things, will I be called a“Muslim”? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Yes!”He said: You have spoken the truth. Then he asked: What is the definition of“Ihsan”? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Fear Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state, then know that He sees you.”He said: If I do this, will I become a“Muhsin”? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Yes!”He said: You have spoken the truth. Then he asked: What is the definition of“Iman”? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, life after death, Paradise and Hell, and in every decree.”He said: If I do this, will I be called a believer? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Yes!”He said: You have spoken the truth.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف علي بن زيد، وقد توبع.
Hadith Number: 5857
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن إسحاق بن سويد ، عن يحيى بن يعمر ، عن ابن عمر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، بمثله، قال: وكان جبريل عليه السلام ياتي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في صورة دحية.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain, however, there is this additional detail that Gabriel (peace be upon him) used to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the form of Sayyiduna Dihyah Kalbi (may Allah be pleased with him).
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح.
Hadith Number: 5858
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا شعبة ، حدثنا عبد الله بن دينار ، سمع ابن عمر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اسلم سالمها الله، وغفار غفر الله لها".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The tribe of Aslam, may Allah keep it safe; the tribe of Ghifar, may Allah forgive it."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 2518.
Hadith Number: 5859
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا صخر يعني ابن جويرية ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر , ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" بينما انا على بئر انزع منها، إذ جاء ابو بكر , وعمر، فاخذ ابو بكر الدلو، فنزع ذنوبا او ذنوبين، وفي نزعه ضعف، والله يغفر له، ثم اخذ عمر بن الخطاب من ابي بكر، فاستحالت في يده غربا، فلم ار عبقريا من الناس يفري فريه، حتى ضرب الناس بعطن".

Hadith Number: 5860
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن مسلم ، اخبرني عبد الله بن دينار ، عن عبد الله بن عمر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" كان ياتي قباء راكبا وماشيا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to come to the Quba Mosque both on foot and riding.
